## Description

Product description Wide Application Chevrolet Silverado 1500 2WD - 1500 - 1999 - 4WD - 1500 - 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 2WD - 2500 - 1999 thru 4WD - 2500 - 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD 2WD - 2500HD - 2001 thru 2WD - 2500HD - 2006 GMC Sierra 1500 2WD - 1500 - 1999 thru 4WD - 1500 - 2014 GMC Sierra 2500 2WD - 2500 - 1999 thru 4WD - 2500 - 2004 INSTRUCTION SPRAY liberally all mounting bolts and nuts to be removed with penetrating oil (ie. WD-40). SUPPORT vehicle body properly before removing mounts. (Recommended : Use a 2”x4” piece of wood 24” long or any other suitable size between the jack and body panels to spread the load out so as not to damage body panels). If necessary, support the body in several areas. LOOSEN all nuts and bolts but DO NOT REMOVE. Working from one side of the vehicle at a time REMOVE the nut and bolt from ONE mount location and raise body enough to replace mount, NEVER HIGHER. Check other areas of the body for interference problems when raising the body. REPLACE one mount at a time with similar size urethane mounts. If washers/sleeves have been provided, use in combination of original factory metal parts that are not replaced by hardware supplied in kit. SEE DIAGRAM for frame position and assembly order. After all mounts have been replaced, TORQUE ALL NUTS AND BOLTS TO FACTORY SPECIFICATIONS. NOTE: RE-TORQUE all nuts and bolts after initial settling of mounts (approximately 1000 miles of driving) to insure that fasteners have not come loose.

Review: Cheap fix for aggravating problem - 2001 GMC Sierra 1500 Z71 extended cab. Had four of the six cab mounts loose when I pulled the step bars to replace rockers and cab corners. Reinstalled after body work and no issues until our salty roads rotted out the step bar supports. Track down new step bars here, but these required using all three under cab mounts...not good. When I got it back together the truck creaked, groaned and popped loud enough for people to look for where the noise was coming from. People riding in it invariably asked what was wrong with it, and was it safe to drive? Evidently loosening up that last mount on each side was enough to let the body shift on the mounts somehow. No amount of tightening helped. GM makes a product just for this....its a thin piece of white Teflon sheet that goes between the top rubber bushing and the frame mount it sits on.....about $8 each at Rock auto, more here. Knowing my mounts were reached anyway, I spent an extra $20 or so for this kit, and I'm glad I did. No more snapping, popping and creaking....heaven! However I'll address some of the comments I read on here before I bought to give my take on them First, easy to install. I did mine on a two post lift with a 2 ton high lift transmission jack and wood cribbing under the rockers to raise the body on one side at a time. I'm lucky, a lot of these trucks don't have much if any rockers left, but it still wasn't easy. I've done poly bushings and body lifts before, and this wasn't the easiest by far. I had also had all six of my mounts loose within the past year, so I knew they'd all come out. On a real rust monster YMMV. You might need longer bolts. I had replaced some of my bolts that were seriously weakened (and one broke) with 110mm long bolts that worked fine with the old bushings and step bars. These aren't collapsed, so on three I had to replace them with longer. I used 130mm long bolts and found they were too long, 120mm would have been ideal. The threads, at least on mine, were metric 12x1.75 pitch (coarse thread). People that say the rearmost mount is different.... Mine wasnt. I pulled all three from a side at the same time so I could take them to the vise, remove the old rubber and install the new....all were the same. People that say the washers are too thin....I was actually impressed they were as thick as they are, they were almost as thick as the OEM washers. No issues there in my opinion. Now the big complaint....'it rides rough!' Yep, it does some. But I have a 21 year old truck with 150k miles on it running LT series tires with 50psi of air pressure. Marshmallows are going to ride rough. I deliberately tried to notice how much rougher the ride had gotten, and I couldn't get past 'a little'. My truck already has a few rattles, and our county roads are anything but smooth, but the price of this whole kit will buy about 1 1/3 new GM mounts, so I'm happy. The main thing is, people aren't afraid that the front end is about to drop out of my truck anymore. For $70, that's a win. One last thing, I bought a pound of the white super grease and used it liberally everywhere these bushings make contact with anything. I recommend you do the same.
Review: Reliable product - Found this body mounts to be the perfect fit for my 2004 silverado. Had to replace 4 the kit came with 6. The replacement took a day, only because had to due some metal repair to frame. This product once installed straightened the body line of the cab and bed. No dislike of the product.
