Review: True gem of a book and perfect for teaching - I teach pre-k and preschool with a few 2 and 5 year olds mixed in. They love this book. As a teacher and adult, I also love it. Its imaginative, creative, and funny. It's nice and short in terms of word and page count, but you can easily turn one reading of it into a whole day's (probably week's) worth of lessons and activities. It worked especially well as an introduction to lessons and activities that involve boxes (of which there are SO MANY). There are also easy ways to turn it into a fun guessing game and to turn it into many other possible interactive reading experiences. I think it's also the kind of book that helps grown-ups see things from kids' perspectives. I would highly, highly recommend this book.
