However, I only installed it TODAY, so no guarantees about its durability, yet. It's significantly more economical than the OEM replacement (around 1/4 the price). Here are the caveats that made me give it 3 stars: 1) It's made and shipped from Taiwan; therefore, it will take a few more days to clear customs, but it was packed well enough to arrive intact. 2) The face plate doesn't match the standard color of the BMW dash...i.e. it's near black vs the charcoal BMW stock dash color, so it clearly looks like a replacement. Alas, my beloved 5-series is approaching 10 yr old and showing 10 yr of wear so I didn't opt for the OEM part 3) Know that the supplier REQUIRED a signature to complete delivery and DHL doesn't provide a delivery time (you're going to wait around all day for a $57 part?) and I got some erroneous texts from DHL about a scheduled delivery date when the part was actually still in Cincinnati waiting to clear customs. Fortunately, unlike some other small package carriers, DHL does leave a sticky tag that you can sign and leave on your front door for them to leave the package the next delivery attempt without your presence....so you don't have to try to chase the package down and/or go to DHL's nearest distribution point to get your package. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great replacement! *by E***B on Reviewed in the United States on March 14, 2017* I replaced this unit in my 2006 BMW 550i and not only was it extremely easy to replaced but it looks just like the original.
