Works the way it should do, price was good for the for the performance it offers. Has 2 m.2 slots which is good. Would of liked another 3 pin RGB port but overall I'm happy with this purchase.

I really like this motherboard and it was a massive upgrade over my old ASUS 350 prime motherboard. I had a very odd issue with this motherboard out of the box thou. My set up was 32gb of 3200mhz Ram and a brand new Ryzen 5600x. The PC would boot fine but when running any game the computer would crash to bios. I thought maybe it was a RAM issue and i messed around with the settings, reinstalled windows and it still continued to happen. Anyway to cut a long story short the firmware on the motherboard i got was a really really early version with no 5600x support. After updating the firmware its been solid and ive had zero issues. I should of done this first thing but i had read that alot of these motherboard have been shipping with fairly recent bios updates. Maybe i got one of the first motherboards.

I bought three Asus Motherboards at Christmas time - the B550M TUF (mAtx), a B550 ROG Strix-F and this B550 TUF. I use this board with a Ryzen 3600, an RTX 3060ti and a Samsung NVME 970 Evo. They have worked flawlessly together since then. This board has some great features - space for 2 NVME drives, a thunderbolt header, multiple USB options at the rear including USB-C and good looks. The ARGB headers made life very easy to configure an attractive system. In some ways, I prefer the more subtle looks of this board to the Strix, although there's no doubt I'd go for that one if I wanted the more blingy system. The system has been really solid and configuration was a breeze. The only issues I'd watch out for is read the manual, as some SATA ports are disabled if you are using the PCI-E 3 NVME socket. My sole minor issues with this board is the choice of a bespoke 14 pin thunderbolt 3 header, different from other manufacturers choices and the lack of a second heatsink for the top NVME drive. That said, the thunderbolt issue is a niche feature that most buyers won't require, and shouldn't put them off purchase because they can always buy the Asus supported card. As far as the heatsink goes, I bought a drive with one on anyway, so it wasn't a problem and unless you're using a really fast drive, it's probably not necessary anyway. Highly recommended!

I purchased this motherboard as I was planning on urgrading my PC to a Zen 3 processor. It has the capabilities I need without the unneccessary extras. Seems very suitable for a resonable price.

Almost everything you could ever need in a motherboard. Nice accessories pack too. Manual is great, clear and well written. Only snag I had is unscrewing M.2 heat cover, the whole screw mounting came off the board. Not a big deal.

Bios is easy and intuitive. Motherboard temperature low and constant. The armory crate is immediately included in the set, which allows you to observe the temperatures of the components and control the colors. Nice and clear user manual. I highly recommend.

Excellent motherboard. I paired with a Ryzen 5 5600X and it works great. However, ensure you have the latest BIOS which is version 2006 (as of 6th April 2021).

I like ASUS as a hardware manucfaturer and buy a lot of their products. This motherboard was very good value for money. However there are a few problems. 1. The manual is very poor, the user guide is too short and does not provide enough detail. 2. The way the software installs (Armoury Crate) itself and makes itself very difficult to uninstall, sorry this is pure virusware behaviour. 3. When I went to update the software which I did from a user account, it started asking for the Administrator password for the installation, fair enough, one, twice, three or four times, no problem, but it just got stuck in a loop asking for the administrator password for every little change. This is rank amateur behaviour. This does not give me any confidence in their software at all. God help us if their install servers get hacked.

Very good choice for 5600

Zuerst zur Lieferung durch Amazon (via Amazon-Lieferservice): Leider kam das Board ungeschützt ohne Umverpackung nur in der eigentlichen MB-Verpackung an. Der Versandaufkleber prangte direkt darauf. nicht einmal ein Siegel-Aufkleber auf dem Packungsverschluss war angebracht, so dass die Verpackung sehr leicht von selbst aufgehen konnte (und auch tat). Für so ein hochwertiges technisches Produkt erwarte ich da ein besseres Handling von Amazon (welches sonst auch Standard dort ist). Also erstmal vorsichtig das Board betrachtet und auf Schäden und Gebrauchsspuren untersucht: leichte Kratzer auf dem passiv-Kühler aber ansonsten keinerlei Nutzungsspuren und auch das recht übersichtliche Zubehör war originalverpackt und unberührt. Also beschloss ich mein Glück zu versuchen. Das Board selber ist schlicht und übersichtlich aufgebaut. Es bietet recht viele Anschlüsse für PCIe und auch diverse interne USB-Anschlüsse. Ich hätte mir noch einen e-SATA Ausgang gewünscht (für meine externe Sicherungs HDD), aber das ist wohl schon zu altertümlich. Die Kühlermontage des verwendeten Ryzen 3700X war ein bisschen fummelig aber am Ende saß er bombenfest. Mainboardschrauben werden nicht mitgeliefert, nur ein paar M2 Schräubchen sind dabei. Dafür gibt es einen Bogen mit netten TUF-Aufklebern. So konnte dann mein neues schlichtes PC-Gehäuse gleich noch einen kleinen Farbklecks erhalten. Bei mir sind 5 der 6 SATA Anschlüsse belegt, 2x8GB Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 und dazu eine alte Gigabyte GTX660 (wird demnächst ersetzt). Einbau der restlichen Komponenten war simpel, alles sitzt fest und durch das Kabelmanagement des Towers ist fast der gesamte Innenraum des Gehäuses frei. Der Power-Anschluss liegt sehr günstig, ansonsten hätte mein kurzes Kabel vom Netzteil wohl nicht gereicht. Als Gimmick gibt es noch eine kleine RGB Einheit, die aber nur sehr dezent in einer Ecke leuchtet und natürlich auch abschaltbar ist. Beim ersten Booten nahm sich das Board erstmal Zeit zum initialisieren, danach lief es aber reibungslos ins Win10 hoch und alle meine HDDs (2x SSD, 2xHDD) wurden erkannt und funktionierten. Bei mir war noch das erste Bios von Mai 2020 aufgespielt, also erstmal ein Bios-Update gemacht. Hier gibt es 2 kleine Mängel: Leider wurde die Möglichkeit des Updates aus dem Bios heraus via Internetverbindung entfernt und man benötigt nun einen USB Stick und muss diesen vorher mit dem Bios bestücken und jenes auch noch umbenennen. Die Asus-Suite zeigte zudem kein neues Update an, man musste dazu manuell auf die Website wechseln. Das Update selber war dann einfach aufzuspielen und hat keinerlei Probleme mit sich gebracht. Das Bios ist an für sich recht übersichtlich gestaltet und bietet einen einfach sowie einen erweiterten Modus incl. der Möglichkeit Favoriten festzulegen. Leider sind einige Funktionen recht versteckt (z.B. S5 USB Modus), da könnte man doch noch etwas besser nach Kategorien ordnen bzw. die ganzen Abkürzungen erklären (bei den einzelnen Einstellungen sind dann zumeist hilfreiche Erklärungen dabei). Nach laden des XMP-Modus (bei Asus DCOP), lief dann auch der RAM auf 3200MHz und korrekten Timings mit angehobenem Takt (automatisch auf 1.35). Bisher keinerlei Stabilitätsprobleme. Auch die Lüftersteuerung funktioniert, so dass man den Rechner seinen Temperatur- und Lautstärke-Bedürfnissen gut anpassen kann. Es gibt 2 CPU-Lüfteranschlüsse sowie 3 für Chassis-Fans mit 3 bzw 4 Pin Anschlüssen. Beim Soundchip wurde nicht der aller neueste ALC1220 genutzt sondern noch der 1200A. Aber das Board bietet einen optischen Digitalausgang, was auch nicht immer Standard ist. Summa summarum ein wirklich gutes Board mit ordentlichem Preis-Leistungsverhältnis, vor allem wenn man die Asus Cashback-Aktion nutzen konnte. Stabil, gutes Layout, genügend Anschlüsse. Über die Langzeitqualität lässt sich jetzt natürlich noch nichts sagen, das hole ich dann zu gegebener Zeit nach.

Ik heb dit moederbord een maand in gebruik met een Ryzen 5 5600x en 4 geheugenmodules van 3600 MHz. Alles werkt en ik heb geen problemen ondervonden. Ik wilde graag voldoende USB 3.2 poorten en een optische audio-uitgang. Je krijgt bij dit model ook nog een 2.5Gb/s LAN-aansluiting, wat altijd van pas kan komen in de toekomst. De meegeleverde heatspreader voor een M.2 SSD ziet er degelijk uit en is eenvoudig te bevestigen. Let wel op dat de SATA-poorten 5 en 6 niet meer werken als je een NVME SSD in M.2 slot 2 installeert.
