I have a 2020 Jeep Wrangler with 63,000mi and used an endoscope to check the oil filter housing for a common leak issue with the 3.6L Pentastar engine. I was disappointed to find a pool of oil around the housing. I checked replacement videos and decided if I'm gonna go through all the work to replace the oil filter housing, I'm also going to replace everything else while I'm in there. I ordered a Dorman aluminum housing, Bosch iridium spark plugs, TRQ aluminum thermostat, PCV valve and TRQ coil packs. Mind you, I had no other problems with the engine or anything else with the truck. It took me 11.5 hours over a 2 day period to do the work because I severely injured my left arm a week before from falling off the porch (I'm a 62 year old software engineer). Anyway, I have 1000 miles on the coil packs with no problems with any of the work or parts I used. Performance isn't any better or worse than it was before I worked on it.

2 Years later, one of the coils almost completely melted the electrode in an Iridium spark plug in #4 cylinder. When I went to change out the plugs and replace these coils (warranty expired 2 months ago), the majority of spark plugs were also showing signs of erosion and huge plug gaps. I thought it was bad fuel. The coils and plugs were purchased new in March of 2024. The vehicle is a 2018 F150 with the 2.7 Ecoboost V6.

Mixed these guys with some nice denso iridium spark plugs. The fit was great. Easy to install. They look pretty cool. And you can tell the difference. It's definitely a smoother pick up in speed. Did not stop my vibrations in park or reverse like I had hoped. And it did not clear my light for a misfire either. Good quality product! Purchased for my Scion xb 2014

I had installed MSD coils on my 2017 Buick Regal 2.0t. They provided an improvement over the factory coils. However, after only 24k miles, one failed. I replaced it with one of the factory ones I had kept. Then, just 2 weeks later, another MSD coil failed. Again, I used one of the factory coils and the CEL, along with the misfire, disappeared. But would you believe that 2 weeks later a third one of the MSDs failed! The shaft had literally broken into two pieces! I used an old-school trick: a wire coat hanger to remove the part attached to the spart plug. No wonder that ZZP Performance does not sell them anymore. I took a chance on the TRQ coils and the difference was amazing. Much better than the factory coils or the MSD when new. My car is tuned with +4 degrees of timing (among other mods) and there is no knock whatsoever. Pulls harder now. Throttle response has notably improved. Granted, I have not used them a long time but so far this has turned out to be a great purchase. My Regal is happy and so am I 😊

To my surprise, a notable difference in performance

I purchased and installed these in August 2025 and they worked great until yesterday (March 28, 2026) when they gave out on me and left me stranded in the street blocking traffic. I had the car towed to my mechanic who pinpointed the issue as a cylinder 3 misfire. Unfortunately when a BMW X3 senses a misfire it cuts the fuel to protect the engine. My mechanic swapped the coil in cylinder 3 to another cylinder and that one also began to misfire. As of now it's past the Amazon return window but there is a 2 year factory warranty. I sent an email and I'm hoping they will just refund my money instead of replacing them since I've already purchased new coils and replaced these. We will see. I'll post an update when they reply.
