What is the use of this when I have a phone?

LOL, where to begin? 1) The charge on an mp3 player lasts incredibly longer, especially when you're actively using your smart phone for other things. I always have an mp3 player when I'm flying. 2) You won't have Andoid/iOS apps abruptly stopping your music, for example games playing ads. 3) You can leave a loaded mp3 player always in your car, so you always have a copy of your music collection already hooked up and ready to go whenever you're driving. 4) They're smaller and cheaper, and thus easier for working out or working in places where breaking a phone could be a big risk.

I can download all youtube songs. Share the song with my Gmail, use converter to download, transfer  download to Android microchip.

Dose it support m4a audio?

Well, I can’t seem to edit my last answer. I said yes because it did seem to play an m4a file that I transferred over. But then this morning it told me it was an unknown file format.  So no it won’t play m4a files. Although it did play it through the car radio. I guess it used file transfer mode and the car player knew how to play an m4a file. Fortunately it’s not difficult to convert to mo3. If you go into the preference settings in iTunes, go to file and then import settings, you can change the setting from AAC to mp3. After you do that you can import your files and they will be stored in mp3 format. You can also click on the file menu and select convert to convert the m4a files to mp3. The convert will only convert to whatever format is set in the preferences so if you see AAC or anything other than mp3, you will need to change the settings in preferences. I don’t know why they don’t give you a selection option from the convert menu but they don’t.
