I bought this for use in our homeschool. I knew x-acto was a good brand and this has not disappointed. I liked it so much that I also bought it for our homeschool community. It is better for plain lead pencils rather than color pencils but still works for colored pencils. Does not take a battery, which I like. The shaving capacity is great. It's easy to use and my kids haven't jammed it. We're only had a few colored pencils break off in the sharpening device but it has been easy to clear. The noise level is bearable. Would highly recommend.

Works perfect for me

I’m really happy with this electric pencil sharpener. It’s simple to use and makes sharpening pencils quick and convenient. I love that I can just place the pencil in and let the sharpener do the work. It creates a nice, sharp point without making the process messy, and the shavings are collected in the container for easy cleanup. It’s a great addition to a desk, homework area, classroom, or office. Definitely makes keeping pencils sharp much easier!

This sharpener is definitely an improvement over manual ones. It is much faster, sharpens well but I find that if you aren’t careful in how much you sharpen pencils they have a tendency to break when you use them. But it is worth noting that I use it for colored pencils. I have also found that when they break in the sharpener it is next to impossible to get out broken piece out of the sharpener which does affect the use. My rating is based on the fact that I’ve had this for probably two years, my extended use and experience.

This is great it has not jammed it's very durable shaving capacity is great holds it all very versatile easy to use I very much enjoy this product the only problem I have with this one is that it requires a cable to use it I had the exact same pencil sharpener from the exact same company just the only thing was it was battery powered if I were to make the purchase again I would go with the battery powered one

Works great for keeping my pencils sharp

If I could rate this 10 stars it still wouldn’t be enough! I’m a middle school teacher, and their mission in life is to destroy pencil sharpeners. Twice now I’ve emptied the shavings and there have been metal scraps from where the kids put the back end of the pencil in there. The sharpener did not yield! It did not break! Middle schoolers have met their match

Pencils. We who grew up in the pre-computer era likely when through hundreds of them throughout our academic careers, and they're still in popular use, though not AS common, certainly. When I was a kid, buying school supplies meant getting a box of #2 pencils, and every classroom had a mechanical pencil sharpener screwed to the wall somewhere. (Of course, this was before, and just shortly after Jimmy Carter created the Department of Education, and the resultant drastic decrease in scholastic performance, nationwide, which it brought along with it.) Pencil sharpening was a daily... often multi-times a day... experience. And if the sharpener in your classroom wasn't in the best shape, it could be nearly impossible to get a proper, sharp point. And that was with the pretty-high-quality ones most schools bought at the time. They had "grinders" which were, if properly aligned, pretty good at sharpening without consuming too much of the pencile. Home sharpening was usually with a little plastic "box" with a razor blade inside at an angle, which you'd have to CAREFULLY twist the pencil inside of to shave it to a point... and it almost always broke, in my experience. Well, I still use pencils at times. But the only at-home sharpening capability I had, prior to buying this, was either with one of those delicate little "razor in a box" sharpeners, or with a pocketknife. So, after the last time I struggled, I decided to see what was available. And I found this unit. I love it. It's never, yet, broken a tip, it shaves off just enough to give me the point without consuming too much of the pencil (wasting it), and it can be operated with just one hand... a huge benefit. This is a drastic improvement on even the best-quality "in classroom" sharpener of my past experience, and renders my little "razor in a box" sharpener totally pointless. The only drawback is that it takes up a bit of countertop or desktop space. You can't just stick it into the drawer, as I have always done with my "razor in a box" sharpener. It needs to be plugged in, as well... to me, that's what I wanted, but that means you have to mount it near an available power outlet or power strip. There are battery-operated ones which, depending on how you want to use it, may be better suited for you. But the fact that this sharpens with almost no effort, and gives me the most consistent, and almost delicately sharp points I've ever personally seen, makes this a full five-star rating from me!

I've had this sharpener for 6 months and it hasn't been used much. Since the beginning, it needed the pencil to be held tightly to get sharpened, otherwise it would spin around without getting sharpened at all. Yesterday it just stopped sharpening completely.

Excelente servicio y un producto increible. trabaja sin fallas el aparato y no da lugar a insatisfacción. basta con apenas introducir el Lápiz y este queda afilado con precisión.

デザインも削る威力も気に入っていましたが 鉛筆を削ると芯が均等に削られず写真のようになってしまって使えません、、残念です。
