I purchased this product via Amazon to use for a family pet cat that needed both medicine and food via a feeding tube after a nasty illness and surgery. It worked better than the valves the veterinary hospital sent us home with, which needed to be replaced after only a couple of weeks.. I readily admit that I do not really like the cat very much and ordered this because it appeared to be about the cheapest option available, and I had no desire to spend three hours on a round trip to the hospital and back. I used these valves for several months before the feline managed to yank the feeding tube out of his neck. On my local vets recommendation, the tube was not replaced. The valves were sturdy and connected readily to the feeding tub without leakage. I needed to feed out cat a fairly viscous solution of water and wet cat food, but it was easily cleaned off in my dishwashing machine. I soaked and hand-washed with a bleach solution afterward to get them sterile. 12 months later the cat is fully recovered. I would purchase this again, obviously but hope I never need too.

It does not leak when new. Let’s see how it does down the road. I use it to switch between leg bag and bedside bag when I retire for night instead of having to disconnect my Foley catheter each night. Just started this routine; we’ll see how it goes. Don’t throw away the orange, flexible tube. It may be useful as a female-to-female connector. I use it to connect the valve to my leg bag.

I wanted a backup for the Lopez valve I am using.with a Dobhoff tube. The Lopez valve I am using was also bought from Amazon. The Dobhoff tube is being used for both feeding and medicine delivery. The Lopez valves work good. Quick delivery from Amazon… no issues with packaging or shipping.

Thank you. It fit my G tube, doctors were confused what this was called. Every team shouldered it off to others. I felt sorry for patients who can't speak for themselves or at least look at Amazon and seek help from people. SS

If you need to connect two or three lines, this fitting may help you. It is easy to use and fits several tibe sizes. At under seven dollars, it is reasonably priced.

My cat got hit by a car or person and needed an esophageal feeding tube. This device makes it so easy to feed. You can turn it off, if needed, while feeding and easily insert to feed and remove when done. Cleaning is a breeze. Just run warm water through it. Don't leave it inserted all the time. If you are tube feeding a cat, get this. No more head shaking with food going everywhere.

This was used to replace a more difficult to maintain medical connection. It worked well but the patient, after using for a week, said it was too heavy compared to the other connection method and decided to not use it anymore. Slight modification to have an 'all closed' position would be nice, a future consideration.
