Review: Great looking rocks. - The black lava rocks come in a bag still covered in dust from the rolling process. The dust can be cleaned off using an air compressor in an open area, and then the rocks can be lightly coated in mineral oil to bring out their color. Some rocks have more gray mineral than others making them a lighter color after the oil soaks in. Some of the rocks are almost completely black so if multiple bags are ordered the darker ones can be arranged on top of the lighter ones if that is the look you're going for. I've included a photo of freshly oiled vs non oiled rocks.

The black lava rocks come in a bag still covered in dust from the rolling process.
