Versatile l, sturdy, durable construction, collapsible pool/pond net
The mesh is fine so it does a great job picking any algae out of my pond, much better than the aquarium net on a stick I was using!!! We have been trying out different nets to improve our clean up activities and came across this net. I thought it just might be the right tool. So far it has proved itself to be the best in the market. Also versatile can be use on a pool, pond like we use, to caught the fish when you clean the pond and move it to a bucket and vice versa. Collapsible for easy storage, extendable with a good locking mechanism, netting with the right sized mesh and a shape that works ideally in our environment. Overall extends to cover my whole pond. saves me stretching and falling in. This net was exactly what I was looking for, very large, soft and easy to handle.

Great for light loads
I bought this to help clean our small goose pond. We have a few pet geese and built a 1,000 gallon pond for them. If you are only picking up light weight leaves, it’s perfect. The net weave is tight. The telescoping handle works well. The only problem I had was the net twisting on me - it didn’t want to stay screwed in, so I glued it. Fixed that. But the first time I tried to scoop up the actual muck on the bottom, the handle snapped in half. So they might consider adding a weight limit to the description. Or perhaps goose poop is just heavier than other pond muck. But I liked the net so much I attached it to a different sturdier pole for changing light bulbs. Problem solved. Though it is strange that a pole for changing light bulbs would be built sturdier than a pole to scoop out pond muck. Anyway, this was my experience.

Not a heavy duty in that at all
They didn't use the term heavy duty they might have gotten another star from me! The pole is very thin and flimsy you can feel it Bend as you're moving it through the water. It is stainless steel it's a very thin thin super thin stainless steel cuz like I said it's not a heavy duty pole at all the net is pretty cool, although mine the net doesn't come all the way together at the end is kind of like a big gap in the back but I used it for surface skimming and it worked great for that purpose. the pole is not long enough to go deep I have a diving pool but for a surface skimmer it's a lot better than those flat Square Nets. If they would improve the Pole a little bit this would be five stars but because of the flimsiness of the pole the most I can give this thing is three stars. I'm not sure how long it's going to last, like I said I realized not heavy duty, I'm just going to use it for surface skimming

Handle Will Not Stay Locked >>UPDATE 4 WEEKS LATER<< HANDLE BROKE !! WASTE OF MONEY!!
I need to use this net several times a day to maintain my koi pond, especially with the current cicada invasion. However, every single time I use it, either the joints on the handle come loose (so it collapses into itself), or the actual net head comes loose so it slides around. I am CONSTANTLY having to tighten it. The frame around the net is actually good, because the pond is lined (instead of preformed), so scraping the debris is a bit challenging and the thin frame helps with scooping, but the fact that I am having to constantly tighten it doesn't make it worth it. 7/1/21 So, the return window closed on this thing 3 days ago, and today, as I was scooping out a few leaves, THE HANDLE BENT RIGHT IN TWO. Absolute garbage. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!

Handle broke 1st use
I was really excited about these nets for the price. I ordered 2. The net rim looks to be good quality. They come with a second net in case the first one is torn, but it is the handle that needs replacing. The telescoping handle is flimsy and upon attempting to scoop a small clump of leaves out of the water, the pole broke in half. If there would be another handle that fit into the rim’s bolt threading, I would keep using it.

The actual rod is only 2 ft long, not 5 ft as per description. And the net is very very delicate. Suitable Neither for industrial use nor for domestic usage

The net was being used to clean debris from a pond and the neck kept twisting with the minimal resistance of the water. After a few uses, the fasteners that attach the net to the pile snapped completely and it is no longer useable.
