The included scoop is super handy. It smells LESS bad than most fertilizers, especially when it's freshly mixed, although it has a weak but very gross smell once it's had like half an hour to sit, so I just... don't go near my plants for a while after fertilizing. That's true of basically every water-soluble organic fertilizer I've tried, though, so this is at least less bad than average? Regarding the claim that it does not dissolve fully, what I do is, I first put the fertilizer into my watering can, and then I fill the can by blasting water in from my hose sprayer nozzle, and I think that agitation really helps to get it mixed in. Then, after I've gone through and fed my heavy-feeding plants (fruiting or flowering plants) with that, I refill that same watering can in the same way, and I hit my lighter-feeding plants (herbs that enjoy poorer soil) with that diluted fertilizer-water.
