I have been wanting one for a long time and finally broke down and bought this one. I love how it has a place to collect what I am slicing rather than me putting a bowl next to what I am using to put the sliced items in. My only two complaints is that the green thing that you hold the veggie to slice, doesn't hold the veggie that well. I tried using a whole cucumber and realized it was easier to just hold the cucumber with my hand to slice it. Then i tried putting half of the cucumber on the green hand holder and it still was hard to get the prongs in to the cucumber to slice. I found it easier to just use my hand to slice the veggies than that green thing. Also once a certain amount was collected in the base, than I had to dump it in a bowl to make room for more slicing as I couldn't slice a whole bunch at a time. But still love it more than using the cutting board and trying to make sure that each items was perfectly round! I have used it for Potatoes and carrots and sweet potatoes.
