Great but care needed.
Allows you to adjust and change so much that regular settings doesn’t. Just be aware this isn’t a toy, you can kill your TV with this remote.

Worked on my OLED C1.
I used this remote to turn off TPC option, it fixed the auto dimming issues I was having with the TV. I pressed the 'in start' button entered the pin: 0413 when prompted then scrolled to the 'OLED' tab and turned the TPC option to off. I was having a issue where the screen would slowly dim while left on a static image after a minute or two. This was a problem especially when playing games when you spend time in menu's or when reading documents in game. Turning this option off probably isn't great for the screens life span but it solved the problem I had with dimming.

Expensive but works
Fixed my TV (LG A1 OLED) so I can use it with my computer without it dimming the screen constantly. But it's expensive for what it does. Much nicer than using the Magic Remote as well.

Perfect for frequent travelers dealing with locked-down hotel TVs
I travel constantly for work and spend a ridiculous amount of time in hotels, and sometimes it honestly feels like hotels are competing to see who can lock down their TVs the most. I understand that they don’t want guests messing with every setting, but some places take it way too far. I travel with a Fire TV Stick because I want to watch the streaming services, shows and movies I actually like, and on many hotel TVs even something as basic as changing the HDMI input can be restricted. But HDMI access is only part of the reason I wanted this remote. Hotel TVs often have picture settings locked or hidden too, and sometimes the picture is ridiculously dark or just looks terrible. The same goes for sound settings — depending on whether I’m watching a movie, a show, YouTube or something else, I want to be able to adjust the audio properly instead of being stuck with whatever preset the hotel decided to use. There are also display, screen and other smaller TV settings that are often unavailable through the basic hotel remote. That’s where this remote becomes incredibly useful. I already travel with a few similar remotes for other TV manufacturers, and after running into enough LG TVs I finally added this MKJ39170828 to my travel bag. It’s excellent. It worked immediately right out of the box — batteries in, point it at the TV, and that’s it. No pairing, no programming, no nonsense. The layout is easy to understand, and it gives you access to far more controls than the stripped-down remotes you usually find in hotel rooms. I can change inputs when I need to use my Fire TV Stick, adjust picture settings when the screen is way too dark, change sound settings depending on what I’m watching, adjust screen/display-related options, and access other small settings that hotels frequently hide or disable on the regular remote. Obviously, this is a service remote, so there are also functions that you should not touch unless you know exactly what they do. I don’t randomly change service settings. If I’m not sure what a button or menu option does, I usually ask ChatGPT first and then only change what I actually need. For someone who travels as much as I do, this remote is absolutely worth having. It’s cheap, small enough to keep in my travel bag, works immediately, and gives me back control over basic TV settings that really shouldn’t be such a headache in the first place. If you stay in hotels frequently and regularly run into LG TVs with restricted controls, especially if you travel with a Fire TV Stick or another streaming device, this is one of those little things that makes hotel life much easier. Comes without the batteries. Needs two AA’s. Highly recommended.

Exactly What I Needed to Unlock a Locked LG Hospital TV
Bought this to troubleshoot an LG 42LY560M-UA hospital TV that had no sound. The normal Settings menu was disabled, and even the TV's hardware joystick/menu button was locked out, so there was no way to access the TV's settings with the original hospital remote. This service remote worked perfectly. I was able to access both the IN-START and EZ-ADJUST service menus using the default password. While troubleshooting, I eventually gained access to the regular settings menu and discovered the TV's audio output had been set to "External Speaker (Optical)" instead of "TV Speaker." Once I changed that setting, the sound immediately came on. Without this remote, I would have had no way to diagnose the problem because all of the normal menus were disabled. If you need to troubleshoot or service an LG commercial, hospitality, or hospital TV, this remote is an excellent tool and worked exactly as advertised.

Cheap and it works!
I have several LG TVs so, since this was so reasonably priced I figured that even if I only use it a handful of times that it is still worth getting. The remote actually feels quite sturdy and arrived undamaged and as shown in the pictures. It has all of the functions for many different models of LG TVs that you could ever need, including access to service mode, and various direct access buttons that are very useful when setting up macros with voice activated IR controllers (i.e. "Alexa, turn on HDMI2", which is a macro to power on the TV and set it to HDMI2) Probably one of the most useful inexpensive items I've purchased in a while.
