There’s no picture of the hoof. Is this a black hoof or white? And why is it the hoof is removed?

Hooves are removed per USDA sanitary regulations before importation into the US. 5J Jamon Iberico de Bellota are produced from pata negra (black hoof) breed of pigs.

Is there real gold flakes in this ham or what?

This is Spanish Jamon Iberico...No...there are no gold flakes.

does it come in the black bag/cloth packaging? And can that be used to cover it later?

Yes, it does come with a black bag that can be used to cover the jamon. At my house we use cotton cloth to cover it.

How long it last at room temperature after opened?

I will last for months. If it is covered with a towel, it won’t dry as quickly and will be easier to slice.

Clearly overpriced, worst quality that expected

Price-quality much worst than expected. I prefer to buy another Iberico from the other available brands at a significantly lower price. Quite a deception for me.

Great when it’s free.

I love this stuff. A few years back I worked at a hotel that always had one of these in the walk-in. Everyday I would cut off about 2 lbs of the meaty parts and sear them in fat and set them out for the cooks to snack on. On average I was cooking around 200 dollars worth of this ham every day. We would order one every other week. This stuff is amazing!
