Man ... they light up!
I do not care that they fit kind of weird and I do not care that the strap is kind of weird to adjust. These are really a great head lamp. Gave one of the two that came in the box to a camping friend who also has a thing for head lamps. Not going to see the other side of the canyon in detail but you won't have to worry about what may be in your peripheral vision either. Not so bright it'll sear paint off a car, but plenty bright enough. Not too heavy and comfortable enough also too as well.

replaces all my other headlamps
easy to carry around, very lightweight on head and in bag. standard batteries. bright light. large degree of visibility. just enough distance to see what is around you. If you are looking for something that is far reaching and focused this isn't it. however if you are looking for enough of a reach to jog at dusk and move around in tight spots this is a great light. is smarter then others, you go to a setting, and if you press the power button again after using it shuts off rather then cycle through the other options. overall this replaces every other headlamp I own.

Very good area light.
I have a more expensive light of a similar design. I like this one for its simplicity. Batteries in the front, power switch on the battery box. This is great for working under a vehicle or hiking at night. It does not throw light far, but that means no hot spots or harsh shadows. It makes a good work zone of light. Or, for hiking, lets you focus easily on your footing and what's near by on the trail, like a turtle or snake. I really like it. Addition. This was an answer I posted to a question. I copied it to here just because....It's no about the lumens on this setup. It's about the coverage. I'd say for walking a trail at night, you can clearly see 15 to 20 feet out in front of you & about 10 to 12 feet at almost 180 degrees. Another example, if you have to get under your car for repairs or troubleshooting...your not twisting your head to get the hot spot of the light where you want it. The area is bathed in light. One more example. Cooking in camp in the dark. everything is lighted in your prep area. No need to swivel your head all over to direct the light to find the spork or salt. It's like a lantern on your head. The down side. You can't see what went bump in the night 20 yards in the woods. It just doesn't have the throw.

Best broad-beam head lamps at an amazing price
I bought a couple of different broad-beam headlamps and by FAR these are the best for the money. Are they the very highest quality, no, but they seem above average and there is no way you can beat the price. I like the replaceable batteries, so I don't have to wait for a charge. I just swap out the batteries with rechargeables or alkaline if needed. Also no loose wires or switches in the band. It's all enclosed. Liked them so much, I ended up buying an extra set just to hold on to for the future.

Works well needs a little improvement
Good coverage with lighting and brightness only Issues are after a few minutes the led strip does get hot and there is no adjustment to tilt the light to eye view if you're working with something up close.

The best option I have found for working on and under vehicles.
The light cast by this little wonder is excellent. Clean white light without being blinding to the wearer. I have used a number of different head lamps over the years and this one gives you a great light source where you really need it--- where you are looking.I have also worn this around my neck and believe it or not, on my chin, while in tight spaces under my MIni Cooper S when removing the subframe from the car. Super handy light. Recommend to anyone. Would buy again.

Makes night go away
A very clever headlight, it shines a "beam" as wide as my field of vision. The effect less like a flashlight and more like I turned on a overhead light in a room.I would probably not recommend it as a bicycle head light, or for any application where you need to see things more than 10 - 20 feet away. But, for working on something in a darkend space it is excellent. It allows you use your peripheral vision. I usually pair it with a more focused task light pointed on my work area as well.It eats a set of AAA batteries in a few hours.I wish I could find this light with a more robust or rechargeable battery pack.

Affordable and effective wide-area proximity light
I bought this light as a safety device for walking my neighborhood at night so that I would be more visible to cars. I like that it has a setting with 4 red LEDs which is perfect for staying visible during my walks. The bright setting for the white LEDs is quite bright and lights a wide area -- would be good for doing home repair or construction projects in dark spaces, like an attic.
