5 stars even compared with name brands
Having been on the fence about buying a hub due to their typically expensive price range, I opted for the Thunderbay Ice Cube since it had high ratings and a low price tag. I have used it almost 10 times now after just getting it a month ago. Pros: - The set up is super easy, - take down is super easy (read the short little how-to paper that comes with for some tips/tricks) - It comes with 8 ice anchors (4 for each corner grommet and 4 for the guy lines off each hub). I have never needed more than a total of 4 anchors but I also haven't had a crazy windy day yet on the ice. - The backpack straps work pretty darn well for it being a shanty and not a backpack! - It blacks out really well for sight fishing. -Velcro windows for more ventilation - one of the bigger sized pop up hubs without getting a double wide or a 5 sided Cons: -only one door (hasn't been much of an issue at all for me though) - no insulated version available -With the heater cranked all the way up when it was 0 degrees outside, there was some condensation build up that dripped on the edges. - one of the zippers broke (during the 0 degree weather so i wasn't surprised the metal became brittle) but a tied piece of paracord lead to a quick fix Overall, I give this pop up a solid 5 stars. Even with the cons that I have listed above, I feel this shelter meets everything it claims to be. Having used a few other hub shelters, this one seems to be just as good if not better than some of the name brands but it came at a fraction of the price. For being over 100$ less than the next comparable hub of its size, I definitely got my money's worth even if it only has 1 door. I would definitely recommend to friends and family (and I already have :P )

Outperforms other "high-end" names and Models.
This product is well designed (and has even been improved over the years.) I've loaded and unloaded and used it many times, used it in sub-zero temperatures, and even transported on a public bus (long story). It is relatively compact, relatively light, easy to carry, durable, and easy to use. Size: Excellent to pack on sled or carry on back. Relatively lightweight for what you get. I am over 6'2 and have no trouble standing up and using the shelter with 1-2 other people sitting on chairs, buckets, or sleds. Warmth: Its easy to regulate both light and air-flow. Windows can be sealed-off, let light in, or peeled back partway or altogether. I usually keep them closed, orient the shelter so the single door is downwind, and leave the door ajar or velcroed back on the provided tab if I want air flow. End-to-End vents are available higher up if sealing yourself tight. I regularly use a single Mr Heater and am able to bring and keep the shelter warm and comfortable in both high winds and very low temperatures. Easy of use: The provided stakes are excellent. Some other brands are way too small/weak to penetrate. These go nice and quick in all types of ice. In calm conditions, it is up in less than a minute. It can also be pre-staked in one corner and then, even in high winds, be set up in a couple of minutes. (I use only the windward two sides for guy lines if needed, but it holds its shape so well that it usually takes at least 15mph winds to even need that). Durability: Fabric is tough, not insulated, but certainly not much penetration of wind occurs. No complaints there and I can't imagine needing more thickness. Which is actually nice, since if I know I am going a week or more between trips I will take and set it up to dry (condensation or snow or water is inevitable). I liked it so much that when I knew I needed to expand my "fleet" I bought this model again. I already found the setup and staking and snow skirt much cleaner than other shelters of other brands. There is no lift or separation, it sits tight. And to my surprise, the newer one had a modified staking system that makes the grommet separate from the skit, providing an option to stake externally or internally, but still not so far removed that the tent could lift off the ground or skirting (or problem on some other models). And the best part is, with the price (around $170, shipping included) I was able to get BOTH of my shelters for less than one of many "equivalent" 3-person on-the-market shelters.

Perfect for early ice/spring
Overall, I’m very happy with it. It’s a roomie and can accommodate two with gear and the heater. The ice anchors are excellent, and the pop-up construction makes set up and tear down a breeze. It comes with a lot of features that would not have expected at this price, including removable windows, a rain/snow flap to keep the door zipper from freezing, velcro to hold the door open, and good size pockets for keeping your phones out of the water. The only negative comment for it that I have is you can see that of sunlight at the seams. It’s obviously not insulated so you’re gonna need a buddy heater and may want something different at 20 below but it’s perfect for early ice/spring fishing.

Great value!
I wasn't looking to use this for ice fishing, I wanted to do some winter camping and use a camp stove inside for heat. I actually cut a hole, reinforced with a silicon mat to vent a pipe in the ceiling. Don't know how this "enhancement" will stand up in rain, but this is my own experiment. The quality of this shelter is very nice for the price point. The black-out fabric is awesome, very nice to have this on a sunny morning and still have a dark interior. Inside was very roomy for me as a solo occupant, able to set up a cot and small camp table along with the small stove. The clear window covers are attached with velcro, so not sure in general how leak proof this would be in a rain shower, but I also sprayed the entire outside and along seams with weatherproofing. Would recommend this!

Exceptional product. will purchase again and again.
This item was used by me foralmost 6 years before a high wind during setup inverted it and I havent been able to get it back in shape . During the time in use it was perfect except now I know I need a larger version as my grown sons like to ice fish with me. It was warm in side easy to use and blocked all but the 35-40 mph winds that took over during setup in 2025.

Great Product 👍 / Update
Took out for 1st time @ Pennsylvania’s highest elevation lake High Point it was windy and I never set up before it took 2 of us with the wind but we only used 4 anchors and with a small buddy heater had to open vents in 19 degrees, backpack great to use, Best Buy of the year for me Update: I’ve now used it more then 8 times have got the set-up down to 1:30 using a drill and Eskimo Ice Anchor adapter, 2ppl fish comfortable and 3ppl work fine as well. Only used the lil buddy heater and it really gets comfy quick some condensation no big deal. For the size price and convenience can’t go wrong. Update: Its now 2022 and my shelter is still 5 stars I’ve used well over 50 times no problems, still use at the highest lake in PA when wind is an issue sometimes a side will pop inward but after placing a guideline problem fixed. Still best $$$ for ice fishing. Tight Lines! Tight Lines!

Perfect
Works perfect, only complaint which I saw one other person had an issue with, I had to fix poles on one side because they were put together incorrectly from the company. But 5 minutes of figuring it out and it’s perfect now, very easy to set up and take down. Comfortably fits two to fish, three if the third person is hanging out. Honestly can’t see a third hole fitting in there. No floor, will be investing in some gym floor mats. Buddy heater kept it nice and warm, windows on every side and one vent. Quite light weight as well. My father in law liked it, interested in ordering another if they go back in stock.
