This is a beautiful lighter. It is not flimsy at all. It feels hefty and durable. It's easy to fill up. It doesn't leak at all because of the O-ring seal it has in the bottom fill-up port. Once you fill it, it lights right up. My only issue is that it has only one half of the St Benedict medal (the side with the cross) on both sides. An actual St Benedict medal has the cross you see on the lighter but also a monk (St Benedict) on the other side with the other prayers. Regardless, I got mine blessed.

I’ve had Zippo lighters on and off for years but haven’t owned one in quite awhile, so figured I get one from Amazon and not have to worry about buying another lighter again. That’s when I ran across this one. I really like the way that Zippos look after about 10 years, when they’re nice and worn, not too shiny, etc. This one looked like it already had that finish it was in that "sweet spot". The reviews on it we’re good, and the price was comparable, so I went with this one. I’ve never heard of "Kuboy" lights before, so I researched them a little, and none of their other lighters are anywhere near as cool as this one. I just gotta say, I LOVE this lighter. This is by far my favorite of any I've ever owned, and I've had a lot of them over the years (I've been smoking cigarettes for over 30 years, unfortunately). Just to echo some of the other reviews, the seal in the bottom of the lighter and around the wick really do add life to the fluid. I filled it for the first time over eight days ago, and it’s still going strong, and I smoke a little over a pack a day (so that’s 8 days with at least 25 ignitions a day, plus playing with it every once in awhile, with no signs of getting low on fuel so far). I wasn’t planning on leaving a review until it ran out of fluid, just to report how long it will really last, but I'll edit later after three fills then average them out to report to regular users what they can expect. I can say without question so far that it lasts longer than a Zippo using less fluid (the fluid reservoir is smaller in this one than a Zippo, but the closed design is extremely effective). I can’t really comprehend some of the complaints about this lighter, so I just chalk them up to a lack of experience using refillable Zippo-type lighters. Yes, if you overfill the lighter and fluid leaks around the chimney, you will have to burn it off. Anyone that has experience using Zippos knows that you just fill the lighter until the wick is saturated and drips to make sure it's as full as you can get it. Just put the guts back in the case and keep it lit for a few seconds, and it all burns off; no biggie. I’ve also had absolutely no trouble opening, lighting, or closing this later with one hand. The only thing that I did to this lighter to tweak it at all was to pull the wick out about an 1/8" so it’s near flush with the top of the chimney, but that's a matter of preference. It's good to go out of the box. Really, the only thing that I could possibly complain about would be the loss of satisfaction opening and closing a Zippo lid. I like the sound that it makes, and I like being able to snap the lid shut with a flick of the wrist. That’s not possible with this lightet, but to me, the styling and practicality far outweigh that one gripe. TL/DR: Beautiful lighter, great price, even better looking in person, fluid lasts much longer than Zippo, you won't regret it.

I bought this lighter for the rather cool historical cross, and the accompanying letters for a protection prayer against evil -- something I occasionally need since my girlfriend has gifts that seem to attract biologically challenged individuals. However, upon receiving it I was honestly shocked by the beauty of this lighter; as cliche as it sounds the pictures do not and cannot do it justice. And there's no way to convey in words just how much craftsmanship is evident when you see it in person, and use it yourself. I've been a Zippo fan all my life -- I had mastered the art of fire through use of a zippo long before I could strike a match -- but as much as it pains me to say this, this lighter is far superior in quality to any Zippo. The brass is much thicker, and machined more precisely. It has a brushed finish that is perfect, and the flip-up cover that seals the wick area is smooth and easy to work, yet it has no play at all and allows no leakage. Unlike a Zippo, the removable insert that one fills with fluid from the bottom doesn't just leave the cotton wicking open and exposed to leak fluid into the bottom of the outer shell, and from there into one's pocket. The insert itself has a brass bottom, but it has a small brass porthole you open to fill the lighter with fluid. That porthole, when closed, seals the lighter fluid inside with the help of a rubber o-ring. As I said, this lighter screams quality, and will make your once-favorite Zippo feel like a $ 0.69 disposable you picked up at a Dollar Store. And the price? $20, which is chump change for a lighter like this. I've spent $60 for Zippos before, and seen some that sell for $180. So IF you like the design of this lighter (let's face it, no design appeals to everyone), get it before they wise up and start charging what it's worth.

This is a great value for the money. The lighter feels very sturdy and well made. I've been using it for a month or two now, carrying it all day every day. It looks awesome, and surprisingly the bronze looking finish hasn't worn off yet. I'm sure it will eventually but the patina will really only enhance the visual appeal. The sealed o-ring design absolutely works. Like I said, I've been using this thing every day (i smoke about two packs a day) for quite some time, and I've only had to refill it once. It holds fluid in much longer than any of my zippos do. As far as longevity is concerned, the only thing I see really ever breaking on this lighter is maybe the pin that serves as the hinge for the kid. But that is an easy to fix item if it ever does finally break. Its held up far better than I expected it to, so slack or play in any of the moving parts. And the striker wheel is very coarse, more so than a Zippo. This does eat flings more quickly, but also produces a bigger spark which has so far garunteed a light on the first strike every single time I've used it. Its a brilliant update on a classic design

I dont normally write reviews, but as I've had my Constantine Lighter since 2022 and am about to purchase another for my EDC loadout I figured it would be worth it. This is my favorite lighter. When my smoking was at it's most peak, I only had to refill the fluid maybe once a month. Unlike Zippo it doesnt actively evaporate, so your fluid is based more on usage than how long it's been laying around. Even when having to replace the flint or any other maintenance, its way easier to maintain without loosing parts. As someone who was starting out with more robust lighters, this is good for anyone beginning to get into something better than a gasstation disposable.

So the worst part of a zippo is that the fuel evaporates to empty within a month of filling the zippo to full, even if you sit it on a shelf and don't use it. This Lighter aims to remedy that by adding well placed O-rings at any of the spots where the fluid would evaporate from. I can say boldly that this works very well. Filling it, using it very sparingly, and then checking it a month later showed very little fluid had left the lighter. In the fuel conservation end of the spectrum, it is vastly superior to a zippo (if you don't care about tricking it) HOWEVER, the O-ring around the wick, serves as kind of a choke, not letting fuel draw into it as quickly as a zippo would. This makes the wick burn and char much faster than a zippo's would. Not a huge deal, but essentially, you are trading wick life for fuel life. So it all comes down to that. This is great for setting on a shelf or throwing in a bag, and knowing it will have fuel left in it when you come back to it, but is going to mean changing the wick of the lighter much more often than you would a zippo. (EDIT: Almost forgot!!! The HINGE! A zippo usually only dies once it's hinge on the lid finally goes out! It was the thing I was most skeptical about when buying this. I gotta admit there isn't much input I can give... It doesn't seem inferior, but functions using a small spring which is very sketchy. I feel that only a long amount of time and testing will be able to show how it holds up.)

I waited a while to review this lighter until I became comfortable with using it. Since it has a smaller edge to flip open, it can take a little while to get the muscle memory trained for quick opening and using. Filling: As others have mentioned, if you are not watching carefully, you can overfill the lighter. When you flip open the fill cover, look at the color showing. It should be bright white. If it doesn't look bright white, move closer to a light source to help you see better. As you begin filling the lighter, if you go slow, you can see it change to a greyish color and then return to the bright white. This is the lighter fluid being moved into the reservoir. As you continue to fill the lighter, the cotton will stop wicking and will begin to remain the grey color. This is the indication that the lighter is filled, and you should stop adding fluid. Being near a light source will help prevent you from over filling. Flint: Since the flints are standard, expect them to last about the same as any other flint lighter, based on your personal usage. The fill cover in the bottom is hollow on the inside (think of a tic tac lid) and you can easily store 2 or 3 extra flints under the cap. Just be careful when refilling not to lose the extra flints. Wick: I haven't yet had to trim or replace the wick, so I am not sure how hard or easy this process will be, but accessing the area is through the same flint & filling on the bottom. Undo the flint screw, lift up the fill cover and gently pull up while holding the cover so that the bottom pulls out of the lighter. Size: It is a little wider and a little shorter than a standard Zippo lighter, so if you have small hands, be aware that it might be a little big for your hand when using one handed. It feels a little heaver than my Zippo, but heavier in like more solid construction, and not just extra weight. I am happy with this lighter and glad I bought it. It reminds me a bit of the old time gas lights from the 18 and early 19 hundreds and I currently use it as my lighter of choice.

Pros: Very solid build quality, stronger than most zippos. The top cover seals around just the wick and provides better evaporation protection than covering the whole top. To fill the lighter is a screw you can loosen by hand instead of a felt pad. Being that the whole bottom is also completely covered u don't lose fuel due to evaporation from the bottom at all. The wick is often overlooked, the quality of this one is very good. I have kept it full of fuel and haven't even moved the wick, it has darkened like normal but doesn't look burnt. The Flint wheel is big, solid, and easy to use The flame couldn't be more steady. Even in very windy areas it lights first try with minor cupping. Cons: No lifetime warranty you would get with a zippo (not that I think many would need it). When or if the time ever comes to change the wick I can see running into some problems. At first glance you would have to unpack and pack through the tiny hole on the bottom of the fuel chamber. After playing with it, the bottom "plate" of the fuel chamber can actually be removed if u take out the screws making it easier to change the wick. As long as u keep fuel in it the quality of the wick will prove to last long enough not to think twice about replacing it.

This product is exactly what you expect it based on the pictures. Feels heavy. Is solid brass. Just wait till the product is losted at a price around 3k
