Every athlete who spends time in the weight room eventually deals with pain/injury that leaves them frustrated and unable to reach their highest potential. Every athlete ought to have the ability to take the first steps at addressing these minor injuries. They shouldnโt have to wait weeks for a doctorโs appointment, only to be prescribed pain medications and told to โtake two weeks off liftingโ or, even worse, to โstop lifting so heavy.โ Dr. Aaron Horschig knows your pain and frustration. Heโs been there. For over a decade, Dr. Horschig has been a competitive weightlifter, and he understands how discouraging it is to tweak your back three weeks out from a huge weightlifting competition, to have knee pain limit your ability to squat heavy for weeks, and to suffer from chronic shoulder issues that keep you from reaching your goals. Rebuilding Milo is the culmination of Dr. Horschigโs lifeโs work as a sports physical therapist, certified strength and conditioning specialist, and Olympic weightlifting coach. It contains all of the knowledge he has amassed over the past decade while helping some of the best athletes in the world. Now he wants to share that knowledge with you. This book, designed by a strength athlete for anyone who spends time in the weight room, is the solution to your struggles with injury and pain. It walks you through simple tests and screens to uncover the movement problem at the root of your pain. After discovering the cause of your injury, youโll be able to create an individualized rehab program as laid out in this book. Finally, youโll be on the right path to eliminate your pain and return to the activities you love. Review: Best book if youโre starting off as a PT - Itโs taught me how to help out my clients with problems that they have, and help them on the road to recovery. Iโve prescribed these methods in myself and my whole body has improved drastically. This book is really informative and itโs helped me be a better personal trainer. Review: great book - This book is super informative if youโre dealing with nagging injuries or trying to train smarter. It breaks things down in a way that actually makes sense without being overly technical. You can tell itโs written from real experience. Definitely worth reading if you lift regularly.

Improve Your Coaching and Athletes
This book is an excellent purchase for any fitness coach out there . In addition to Dr. Horschig's Squat University IG page, this book has helped me become a better CrossFit coach. It has taught me what proper movement looks like and how to screen for deficiencies in athlete movement . I've been able to help athletes resolve minor pain issues and simply free up their ROMs to get into better positions (i.e squats). The look of surprise, shock, and appreciation in my athletes makes coaching even more worth it as I help spread the gospel of proper movement . I know I am no trained PT and rehab programs are way out of my purview. But the simple movement screens , mobility exercises, and the test retest method (and a thanks to Kelly Starret for that) are easy enough for me to teach my athletes so they are better equipped to see how to screen for and treat their minor aches and pains . This makes them better at movement and makes me a better coach. Again, thank you Dr.Horschig

Great resource
Excellent resource. It includes pictures and explanations for over a hundred different ailments that, in my experience, are pretty common. It'll very likely cover whatever your injury or ache is. Only thing i could knock is that a few of the movements were not explained well enough, but the guy has videos and shorts for that so i can't be too upset.

Informative with illustrations and exercises to moving pain free
Well written book with chapters dedicated to pain from different parts of the body (hip pain, knee pain, back pain, ankle pain, elbow pain, etc...) how to assess the problem the anatomy of the problem and their correct form and fixes to help you move pain free. I purchased the book for to help understand how to improve my mobility and correct my movements in weight lifting such as butt winking (which is covered in this book) as well as tightness of the pec which leads to shoulder mobility limitations. I follow Dr. Horschig on instagram and love all his videos because he goes in to great detail about movement problems from an anatomic perspective to assessment and shows exercises to correct the issue then reassess the patients and they show improvement in movement. I will reference this book for future problems i may encounter in weight lifting to help avoid such issues and hopefully increase recovery time when i do see a physical therapist.

Great purchase
Best book for lifters and strength/rehab professionals. Even though you may not be a healthcare provider, the book takes you in a language easy to understand without excessive confusing medical jargon.

Great book but not for loners
This is a great book because he shows how to diagnose what is wrong with you. Most physical rehabilitation books that are made for your average Joe don't have that. They just go over what might be painful and then you have to make your best guess. However, as much as I like this part about the book, I didn't think about how you can't do these self-assessments by yourself. I'm disabled and I live in a rural area around a bunch of elderly folks who would probably rather jump into a swimming pool full of fire ants before helping me with some physical self-assessment type things. It's one thing to talk with them at their door but to have them come over to my house and actually physically do something as well as touching me. Not gonna fly. So, yeah, great book but I'm kind of stuck for my particular situation.

a Very Useful source of information.
I'm just working my way through this book and already I can see it is a source material for a lot of the flexibility trainings available online. it is a book that is useful if you are a lifter or have suffered from an injury while lifting. it has helped me with diagnosing and i am waiting to get to the part which says '"do this..." for specific injuries. I have not yet finished this book.
