Seller: Is 30V max voltage or the operation voltage for the power inserter (for example your catv amplifier requires 12V)?

It's more of part of a power rating of 1amp at 30V. I use mine at 12V

Why do i need this this antronix arou-2000?

You can use this to send power up a coaxial cable to an in-line amplifier to boost the signal on a cable/antenna line. This is particularly useful for very long cable runs that result in degradation of the signal power. I use one about 50 feet up my cable run in my house in combination with an in line amplifier to increased my cable modem power as it comes in so weak that I can't get 10% of my rated download speeds. With it, I get 80% of my rated download speed. Most people, however, use them to send power to in line amplifiers for roof mounted TV antennas to boost the signal for the long cable run from the antenna.
