Reduced Allergies
Hill’s Science Diet Sensitive Stomach & Skin has worked very well for my dog. It’s easy to digest, helped reduce stomach issues, and I noticed an improvement in skin and coat health. I have tried many other brands for sensitive skin and GI issues, but this brand has been more helpful vs other brands. The quality is consistent. A solid choice for dog with sensitivities.

15+ Years of Use for Sensitive Stomachs, Still Our Go-To
I’ve been feeding this food since 2011, starting with a dog who had a very sensitive stomach. After a lot of trial and error, this was the only food that consistently worked for him. He stayed on it for most of his life and lived to 18. He was healthy his entire life: good teeth, normal bloodwork, active, and never dealt with chronic illness or cancer. I grew up with dogs that were fed cheaper grocery store food, and both developed cancer. I’m not saying food alone determines health, but quality nutrition clearly matters. I now feed this to my two current dogs as well. I’ve tried other higher-end brands over the years, but many have had recalls or quality issues. This food has been reliable and consistent for more than a decade. The price has gone up since I first started buying it, which isn’t ideal, but I’ve still been able to find decent deals through subscriptions and sales. The only real issue I’ve had was a Black Friday order that got canceled after long delays, which was frustrating but not related to the food itself. If your dog has a sensitive stomach or skin issues and you want something proven and consistent, this is a solid choice. Small con: The price increases add up, especially for larger dogs.

My dog loves this stuff
My german shepard mix has been having some longterm digestive troubles(we've done plenty and vet visits and testing.... she has no underlying health issues) and I've tried several food changes with her and this seems to be the best so far. The fact this formula is fish and insect based is great because these tend to be novel proteins for many pups. Don't be afraid of the insect protein component this may prove to be an amazing alternative especially if your dog is suffering from food allergies. I highly recommend giving it a try if you've already exhausted cheaper options.

Great food for sensitive stomachs
Sure, it’s a little bit pricey, but this is by far the best dry dog food we have found for our pets. Before finding sensitive stomach and skin, we had tremendous problems with gas and this seems to have solve it. The dogs are actually excited for their meals so we are quite pleased.

My dog loves it!
Has done wonders for my dogs skin! We are big fans of this brand and can’t find the salmon flavor in regular stores easily. My doodle loves this flavor. Thankfully it isn’t too smelly for being fish. Great quality packaging and ingredients. It’s one of our routine purchases

Our latest rescue came to us with a very sensitive stomach. It has been a real battle to get her to eat. We have tried numerous and expensive varieties of kibble. Nothing was working. We mostly boiled chicken, made homemade dog food with veggies, rice, and boiled meat. So much went to waste because she refused to eat it. After seeing so many good reviews I thought I may as well try it. Our saluki/lab mix would turn up her nose and lay down beside her dish because her tummy was in a mess. She would go all day without eating, even though she seemed hungry. And the next morning she would throw up bile because she had nothing in her stomach. In my mind, Hills was always an expensive, vet food that was out of our budget. But seeing all the money we were wasting on real meat I thought I may as well try. Well, finally, success. She liked it from the day we received it. She doesn't eat a lot, only when she is hungry, but at least we found something that agrees with her. I will continue to buy this as long as she eats it. Thanks Hills.

It’s a little expensive but really suits my old dog who has a sensitive stomach. She took a little time to get used to it but now she eats it happily and her condition is much improved.

El veterinario nos recomendó este alimento debido a que nuestra cachorra tiene cierta sensibilidad en la piel. Dejó de tener alergia y le gusta mucho.

I have a Doberman that is almost 2 years old. He has always had an extremely sensitive stomach and had diarrhea with every pet store food I tried, and trust me I have tried so many; all the different variations (grain free vs with grains, different meat types, fish, etc.) and even tried raw food. Everything gave him diarrhea. Finally we turned to our vet who prescribed the Royal Canin Hydrolyzed Protein dog food. This stopped the diarrhea which was such a relief, but the food is expensive. It stared at $130 a bag initially and over the course of 9 months has risen to $170 a bag. I was sick of the price gouging so I tried to find another alternative. There was a lot of trial and error and more diarrhea to be had. Eventually I came across this dog food and I wasn’t very hopeful at first due to all the failed attempts, but it’s been 4 months and my dog has had no issues with the food! I’m very happy with the quality and price of this dog food. My dog also eats more often now which is great because he is on the skinny side. This also proves to me that the flavour is more palatable to him than the Royal Canin brand. Highly recommend for pups out there with sensitive stomachs.
