Cool stuff
This is really cool and really works with a heat gun. Easier than old fashioned buring!

Love it!!
Bought the Scorch paste but I don’t like it as much as the marker. You can get more detail with this product. Very easy to use. Thumbs up!!

Really Looks Scorched
Dual-ended liquid pen that when direct heat applied turns the purple ink to look burned into the wood. Attempted to use an oven but couldn't get it to turn color and became worried something would catch on fire so the best method personally was using a heat gun. The heat gun did also result in some burning along the edges and corners. The pen itself draws on smoothly and creates clean lines but the lines are bold and there isn't a thin line option. The opposite end is like a whiteout sponge style brush and paints on thick. Would recommend use with other products to seal in the design and ensure food safe spaces so price-wise, something to consider. Was easier than a soldering iron despite the lines being much thicker, there was more consistency with color and perceived depth of the design but unlike soldering the design is superficial and doesn't appear engraved.

Not so easy to use.
I used the marker and mine bled as I traced my stencil. It looks like a blob. I was disappointed. I used the heat gun on it to see how it would look and it didn't look scorched to me. I am disappointed. I am very crafty and I was excited to use this. But I felt like it didn't have the finished result I thought it would.

Very pleased.
My wife has a small business and uses them. They are very durable. The size is great. Look amazing and easy to use. The thickness works for what we do and there is no bleedthrough for what we use them for.

Don’t waste your money
I was hoping the product ads and positive reviews were real, but I did not get the same results. The more minor issues are that the thin tip bleeds and the thick tip is way too thick for detailed work. The bigger issue is that it doesn’t work- I bought a professional heat gun and followed all product instructions- when I tried the heat gun I saw barely any difference to small sections of the wood and no difference in most areas where the scorch marker had been used. I continued to slowly and carefully use the heat gun with no results. I wore goggles and other safety equipment. The only eventual change to the wood was that it started cracking- the scorch pen marks still hadn’t darkened but the wood was cracking apart with sharp noises. It scared me and I’m glad I wore goggles. This was the lowest heat setting, following all product instructions, and it broke the wood apart and never darkened the area colored with the scorch pen. I was planning to make holiday gifts with my scorch pen, but after that disaster of a trial I bought a wood burning tool and made the gifts. I bough this product because I thought it would be easier to use, but since it didn’t work at all, it was worth the challenges of learning to use a wood burning tool instead. Don’t waste your money- I know this product looks great but it doesn’t live up to the ads.

Craft Gifts
Grabbed this to include in a craft gift basket. They work great if you have the correct machine & know how to use them.

Scorch marker!
In spite of the mixed reviews, I ordered it anyway. Some said great and others said waste of money. Having been a hobbyist for a long time, I must give highest kudos. It took some maneuvering and creativity to overcome the bleeding issue. This is new territory and lots of fun!
