Review: Nice phone! - Had it for 3 years now and not one problem. Review: American import but Recovered by O2 Physical sim tray faulty - Product turned up on time, in good order externally but sadly will not work in the UK due to being built for south American or Spanish market, but since my original review I have taken the phone to O2 who removed some of the technical hiccups and got it onto the network, O2 had to use an "e-sim" due to the fault being with the physical sim tray on the phone, so recovered in the end, but it was still an import by the looks of it, it seems to have a lot of Spanish looking apps that cannot be removed which is always an alarm to me, so sellers should be forced to divulge or list the installed apps and which are unremovable, I feel this would stop a lot of purchases as these are on purpose to gain information, I will revisit this review in a few weeks to make sure that all continues as is, revisiting this review as the phone keeps dropping off the network, I switched to EE and the issues persist, I suspect the phone is at fault and so do both carriers, this seems not to be able to connect on 5g and will not stay connected, I sense a Spanish app is interfering but cannot remove it

Amazing phone I upgraded from note 10 5g as I feel this will be last version of the note produced by Samsung.

beautiful device battery drain issues may be resolved!
Samsung make beautiful devices this note 20 ultra 5G I purchased in mystic white is lovely however it has exhibited severe battery drain issues from day one I really wanted to keep it and not return it so I kept using it trying everything I could cache wiping, syncing, battery saving, freezing apps, disabling /re enabling you name it I tried it from factory reset to updating software. at present I called Amazon chat they put me through to Samsung customer care while I was on the chat and they waited for the outcome I have to say Amazon and there staff are magnificent and so helpful and go beyond to help out. Samsung advice was a repair as it may be a hardware / battery issue but I refused to accept a repair on a pristine 3 week old handset that was like it from day one let alone having to keep it attached to a power bank daily. Advice was make sure i am not stupid as in turning every useful feature off 😆 use original cable original charger and disable 120hz display enable battery saver mode and also dumb mode like turn mobile network and WiFi off And as a last resort keep it switched off....😁 I dont mind disabling a few things but if I have to disable everything I might as well leave it switched off and make it a dumb phone rather than a smart phone. although I didn't need to accept a repair straight out of the box cheekily offered by Samsung...Amazon offered a return so if anyone can recommend something I can do to resolve this is issue before I return the device I don't want to but draining 20% after 10 minutes of it idle while its in standby and screen off isn't acceptable. failing that its a return shame lovely device but heating up on standby and draining while asleep isn't what I wanted from a £1,000 device. Update* This is the worse device I have owned and my last Samsung device I spent years with other brands... and moved to android but I will never buy another Samsung the expense this cost me the battery draining is absolutely ridiculous Samsung phones loose their value almost immediately anyhow and long term out look with the battery cycling like this charging twice a day the battery cycles will be used up in a few month selling this won't fetch anything its now strapped up to a power bank daily Like a ball and chain to save charge cycles. Samsung battery care tip advised "warning on continuous charging will shorten battery life" !! Seriously ? How is this worse than leaving it on standby disconnected just for it to drain 50% in 30 minutes?? I warn anyone against considering buying this phone the battery issue is not a joke its disgraceful for the price. today Samsung just churn out devices without any care in quality one after the other only only mission is to sell the latest device to consumers like the dreadful S20 series I suggest looking at devices from some Chinese manufacturers they offer so much for better price From drastically better battery capacity to extras in the box And more useful and better features. There is more issues the cameras are nowhere near as good as phone's I have from 2014 forget close up macro shots and anything closer than a few feet and expect blurred pictures every time. and as for Samsung pass this is useless it constantly fails to log me in and depending on the Web sites they will force to now have me reset my password because of failed attempts it takes my finger print then attempts to log in but never does using it on Amazon is the worse. To some up Samsung came a long way in quality with the one UI but they are going back to the touch wizz days We now get far far less for our money removing features that samsung were known for they are now just cool looking devices that have to be dumbed down to save battery life to function nothing smart about it. Don't get started on the Samsung keyboard........ Nice looking device but NOT Recommended 👎 UPDATE# I have found out the major cause of this battery draining issue and i recommend people with similar issues To try this Turn off adaptive battery Located in device manager / battery / more battery settings. Turn this feature off it is suppose to help with battery life but its having the opposite effect for some reason i have tested this persistently for days And with this turned off the battery drains slowly even with 120hz set to adaptive. And is lasting far far longer Also you can clear and reset the adaptive settings learned to the factory defaults by going to apps / device health services / manage storage this will clear the learned apps and the adaptive brightness to default including adaptive battery stats the AI as learned. I also updated to ONE UI 3.1 after battery is better also. I left my phone over night as normal it would loose like 26% of battery on standby now it lost 3% to 4% if that 😑 tested over a few days. I am not sure if it's the one UI 3.1 or the adaptive battery but I feel its the adaptive battery setting... Also using 60hz rather than 120hz will save even more battery life.... I now gave it 4 stars I really do not think its worth the asking price its very expensive it may be a computer marvel but over £1000 They do a lot don't get me wrong but they are becoming really over priced Especially when batteries and oled screens don't hold up for time....hopefully I will get 3 to 4 year out of the device 🤔 Beautiful device but not the price.

Good phone, but negative experience with amazon.
The phone itself it's quite good and well performing. My main issue is with the pricing, I bought this smartphone from Amazon only to find out that they were selling the same item for 220£ less just 2 weeks later, not 50, 220. I just feel robbed.

Camera refused to work
To be fair I bought this phone under the renewed basis via Amazon, ie it had been bought, returned, checked over & resold for £120 less. So the phone arrives, it all looks lovely but the default Samsung camera app just freezes, no image displayed & unuseable. However other Open Camera works although it freezes on switching from front to rear camera, the camera works in whatsapp & messenger. But not at all happy with these camera issues so I am going to return it. On a side note whilst setting it up yesterday for 3 - 4 hrs I did notice that the battery dropped from 100% to around 15% in 4 hrs of use.

Buen telefono para comprarlo por debajo de 400€. Buena camara. Complicado encontrar protectores de pantalla decentes. Devolucion inecesariamente complicada, pendiente todavia después de 30 dias desde que llegó al almacén. En atención al cliente no pueden hacer nada. Si necesitas el dinero una mala elección.
