Authentic Grains, Tabouli Wheat Salad Mix, 6 Ounce (Pack of 12)

This is great tabouli. I have been having great difficulty finding tabouli in recent months, in any retail grocers. We have always used the Near East brand, and I looked for it at Amazon. I found this Casbah brand and it was slightly cheaper and had great reviews, so decided to try it. I used a recipe from the other brand that I had always made, for a Greek salad. I added about a half cup lemon juice, 1 cucumber(diced), and a package of feta cheese. WOW. The flavor with the Casbah brand tabouli just exploded. It's wonderful. And the price is definitely right, not to mention that it is organic.

I have purchased this product for years at various health food stores, but now cannot find it in any stores in my area. My son and I like it so much I decided to just order this 12 pack. We add garbanzo beans and a little fresh lemon and it is a yummy addition to a salad or on its own. Very easy to make & not loaded with onions like some deli style tabouli.

I've had boxed taboule before, but this item has a bitter taste to it. I did follow the exact directions. Thankfully I am a good at fixing the taste of things, but this is still not good! I made the mistake of ordering 12 boxes. The expiration date on them is September of '16. Could be why they are a bit stale.

I have purchased this same product in grocery stores, but got a much better deal by purchasing it at Amazon. I don't turn on my oven more than I have to during the summer, so tabouli is a staple in my fridge. This brand tastes good and is easy to make. Buying a case of this mix should keep me in tabouli through this summer!

Don't waste your money on this product. I just ordered 12 boxes of Casbah Tabouli and I will not make it according to their directions again! Number 1, all of the spices are mixed with the bulgar wheat....don't like that. Number 2, follow the directions on the box and they will have you put 1/3 of a cup of olive oil in the mix....way too much olive oil. Next time I will try only a couple of tablespoons of olive oil. Best bet is to buy Near East Taboule....much better!

I make this according to instructions and it seems to work fine. Additional ingredients are recommended depending on your needs or tastes. For example, sometimes I add fresh tomatoes or sweet onions, cucumber, olives, celery . . . whatever. Usually fresh lemon if it is available. The added ingredients lift the flavors and give it more character. If you want even more depth, use hot broth instead of water to reconstitute the dehydrated ingredients.

I have been a user of instant Tabouli salad mixes for several years. I make a big bowl at least once a week.I tried to purchase the Fantastic brand again on Amazon but it was unavailable so I tried the Casbah brand that was available. It is not as satisfying. The flavor is off in a way that is difficult to describe. I think it may be from the contents of the dried parsley. With the Fantastic brand, I always use fresh parsley and mint but with the Casbah product, both are included ingredients.I would rate this product a 3 out of 5 but the Fantastic brand 4.5 out of 5. Look for it. Ask for it if they dont have it. It is convenient and worth it.

Great prepared per box instructions with warm/hot water. Put in fridge while preparing the rest. Take 3/4 cup Olive oil, 1/2 cup Lemon juice, tomato diced, cucumber diced, bell pepper diced, sweet onion diced, fully cooked chicken breast shredded, mix all these ingredients completely and then mix with tabouli in a large bowl. chill for 4 hours and it is ready to eat. any of the vegetables or chicken are optional ingredients. This is my preferred recipe. great as a side dish or as the main entree. I love it with fried chicken and mashed potatoes. Enjoy.

Received in time. Good price
