Pretty good story with great smut
Ok ok I had to literally use my computer to write this review because I knew it would be a tad longer than usual. First off... a pretty good read once you get past like chapter ... 10? It was a really slow start and I honestly almost DNF'd, I actually had to post in a Facebook group for recs because I had assumed I was just in a reading slump and nothing interested me. But, mama ain't raise a quitter, and I persevered. I wasn't disappointed. Now, I will say the character descriptions, in my opinion, were poor lmfao reading about what Dom and Sean look like... I was so turned off and prayed they weren't the main males... I don't know why but the descriptors and what not ... just... painted an unattractive picture 🤣 Could just be me.The smut? Amazing, the scenes weren't repetitive or over the top. The book has been described as a retelling of Robin Hood, but I disagree lol the only "Robin Hood" thing is they steal from the rich and give to the poor. Which I guess you could argue is the Robin Hood principle *shrugs*Anywho, my last "complaint" was the age of the FMC. This wasn't enough to call an age gap/older younger type deal, but I just felt she was too immature and unrelatable in the aspect that had she been 25, just graduating college, having had spent her college years drinking, partying, sleeping around it would would've been more realistic/relatable. Haha one of my comments in the book was that I was jealous of a fictional (essentially) child, because I believe everyone deserves to know unconditional love from a partner or partners BUTTTTTTTT 19?! She gets to witness a healthy poly relationship?! Nope. Don't believe it. Don't want it. Lmfaooo but besides that I just felt she was just too immature for the situation and before anyone comes for my throat, I understand she matured a bit throughout the book but I like to think we can all agree that it would've meant more and, again, been more relatable, had it been someone who was mid-twenties, sheltered to poly relationships, etc.So all of that to say it was a great read once it picked up and piqued my interest. It just wasn't as deep of a ocnnection as I would have enjoyed.
