This is another great colouring book that might be enjoyed by little girls who love princess themes but the detail makes it really more a book for the adult colourist, or artist. The pictures feature various goddesses of different world cultures and it's really nice to have the caption below each picture explaining a tiny bit about the subject. Although a rather thin book, the quality shows with each picture and it will take some time to complete . Highly recommended!!

My eight-year-old daughter loves coloring and her favorite theme is fantasy so I was able to pick out some lovely coloring books from the Dover Coloring Book series, including this one on goddesses of various cultures. The illustrations are gorgeous with amazing details, and what makes it even more fun is the fact that each page comes with a caption informing us about the featured goddess and what she does. There are familiar names such as the Roman Goddess of Love, Venus, and there are also less familiar names such as the Mayan Goddess Ix Chel who is described as being "responsible for sending rain to nourish the land, and is the protector of mothers and children." This makes this coloring book not only fun to work on, but also educational. My daughter is having fun coloring and learning about these goddesses. The paper is of good quality, holding up to colored pencils, watercolor pencils, and also fineline markers (she uses Stabilo markers). The book measures about 8 by 11 inches so the pages are a nice size for coloring and getting some beautiful pictures which might even be framed.
