The magnet seem to be pretty weak which is odd because of the interference of the magnet gives to the ark but it works for simple out back stick welding on a trailer or something

I like the idea of this but the magnet isn't as strong as I would like it to be.Doesn't hold on material very well

I bought this ground specifically for use on a resistance welder that I use to repair sheet metal. I wanted something that I could minimize the area that I would have to bring down to bare metal to properly ground. I was using a rather large magnetic ground prior to buying this and would have to grind a 2nd spot away from my repair area to use. This ground works great for my purposes and in fact was better build quality than I was expecting. The magnet is strong and the setup is very versatile in its setup. I can now ground directly next to my repair and minimize the amount of paint that needs removed.

This wasn’t attached to my mig for more than 4 minutes before it broke. It was accidentally knocked off the bench and hit the ground. Yes!! This is a workshop and things fall sometimes. The magnet immediately fell out and it appears there’s just a white plastic ring that’s responsible for holding the magnet in place via friction. I’m going to struggle through the rest of the day then reattach my clamp. I’m debating if it’s even worth the hassle to send this crap back. Seriously folks, if you’re doing anything slightly above hobby welding, buy a different product. Sellers and manufacturers, consider crimping the sheet metal shroud around the magnet. Your current design doesn’t just suck. It SUCKS REALLY REALLY BAD!!!!

Take the clamp end off your welder and put this puppy on, you’ll love it! Place nice and close, within reason, to where you’re going to weld which is more than easy with this. Get the connection where you sure wouldn’t with your standard clamp. And quick? Just slap it down and you’re off to the races. Great invention, simple idea, glad I’ve got one, thank you Amazon, I like the price, usually the price for convenience is high, not on this impressive gadget! Do yourself a favor.
