Behringer Compressor/Limiter Cl9 Classic Compressor/Limiter Effects Pedal

This pedal I really like so far. The best thing it does is it gives me more sustain which is very noticeable. In addition it improves my tapping a lot because it evens out the volume of your guitar signal, boosting quieter sounds and lower louder sounds. I'm building a budget pedalboard and this was a good way to give compression a shot and explore it. At $21 this is an incredible deal. This is the 6th Behringer pedal I've bought. Plastic housing is fine. Red color is nice. Obviously to sell at $21 they used plastic instead of metal for the housing but it's completely fine. It's very thick hard plastic, very durable. I actually prefer it over metal because it's much lighter than a standard metal pedal while still being very durable. You won't damage these by carrying them around or dropping them. And at $21 who cares anyway. The pedal this is a copy of, the Ibanez CP9 will run you $85-$100 used so you can afford 3 backups and still pay less. The only downside is the awkward entry into the battery compartment, but in addition to running off battery they can also run off a 9v power supply. So the only way I could see myself not recommending them is if you regularly gig and for whatever reason must use batteries - as changing batteries is not very fast or convenient. Doesn't matter for me though, I'm running them off a power supply. Thank you Behringer for making pedals affordable for everyone.

This compressor works good

For a guitarist who does not need the best gear this pedal will do what it is suppose to do. It sustains my guitar output signal. The pedal configuration is a standard set up. (From Right to left Tuner, Compressor, Distortion, Looper.) Running guitar from tuner to distortion did not sustain the note long enough. This compressor helps a lot. My main complaint with it though is that there is a lot of hum. when activated. I thought maybe it was my daisy chain for power but just compressor to amp even created the hum as well so it was not a power problem. I think I need to add a noise gate to this and leave it on. The housing of this pedal is all plastic which is my biggest turn off for wanting to buy more of their pedals. Mainly because I know in time it will crack and break from moving them around stepping on them, kicking them etc. So the construction is not to my quality standards but I guess that is why it was only 30 dollars. But that crunch pedal to the left is solid metal and only cost 35 dollars so Idk. I also suggest that crunch pedal. Though it comes off more as a boosted over drive than an actual distortion. But with my amp it sounds pretty good once I have a compressor hooked up to it. Without the compressor it was a let down. Food for thought if you think about buying any of the other pedals in my picture.

As always, Behringer delivers a great and affordable product. You won't find this quality at this price anywhere else. Just don't step on it, lol

A pretty meh and noisy pedal

So you don’t have the coin for a dyna comp. So what? This compressor is the best bang for your buck. If you’re like me and keep your compressor on all the time, slap this puppy on the top of your board at the beginning of your chain and let it do it’s thing!

actually really nice. i use it mainly for my bass guitar and its actually perfect. i had my doubts too.

Very noisy, adds static to signal chain

Tenía dudas sobre si comprar estos pedales Behringer por el precio (pensando que serían de mala calidad) y me he llevado una sorpresa, no meten ruido (nada) funcionan perfectamente y al comparar con video reseñas de otros pedales caros, la verdad no queda debiendo nada (cada pedal de cada marca tiene sonidos diferentes aunque sean del mismo efecto). La calidad a pesar de ser plástico es muy buena, el pedal pesa y el plástico se ve que es resistente (obvio tratándolo bien). Lo recomiendo mucho. *Actualización 6 meses después: Funciona genial, incluso lo he utilizado en vivo y nunca me ha fallado. Un excelente producto.

すごく古いグヤトーンのもあるのですが安かったので購入したのですが、それまで不自然な感じがしてあまりコンプは使わなかったのですがこれは不自然な感じがなくすごく良い感じです。強い効果を求める向きには向かないのかもですが安いので一台あれば色々便利だと思います。 ただ、バッテリー交換方法とアダプタの差込口は改善してほしい。

Good compressor i use it with my analog synth to level up the bass and use it for sidechaining

I wasn't expecting great quality at this price, but I was pleasantly surprised. I had been using simulated effects on my PC but wanted something more portable. At full compression there's noticeable clipping, but up to about 3/4 it's perfectly usable. I've used many Behringer products in the past and have always been impressed by the quality at the price.
