I love this sunscreen!
I have pale, dry skin, and I burn easily. I wear sunscreen for preventing premature aging, so I wear this on my face, neck, and hands. I also have mild rosacea. Also, as much as I do prefer mineral sunscreens, some of the claims they make have been proven false or exaggerated. Science can't actually prove that chemical sunscreens harm coral reefs because they can't test on a large enough scale. And the claim that harmful chemicals are absorbed into the bloodstream is mostly a marketing tactic, not all sunscreen chemicals are harmful. Do your own research, and remember: the best sunscreen is the one that you will wear every day. That being said, here are my pros and cons for this sunscreen. The pros: - this is a mineral sunscreen: my face in particular can't handle chemical sunscreens - it's lightweight and easy to rub in - it doesn't burn my eyes unless I rub them and get the product in them, which is my own fault - it leaves a dewy finish. My skin is dry, so I prefer this to a matte finish - I get a tiny amount of white cast, but it goes away after it gets absorbed into the skin - it is very moisturizing, I stopped using my moisturizer in the morning when I started using this - it smells like sunscreen, but not really. And it goes away almost instantly - it's broad spectrum and SPF 50. We don't know the PPD value, but 20% zinc oxide is pretty high, and zinc oxide itself is a good sun-blocking ingredient. - the ingredients: squalene is super moisturizing, and glycerin is a good humectant. It's also fragrance-free - it's NOT water-resistant. This is a pro for me for 2 reasons. (1) some water-resistant sunscreens make my face break out and (2) I can't wash my face with a cleanser every day, so I need a sunscreen that comes off with just water The cons: - it feels weird on the skin before it absorbs. While squalene is very moisturizing, it has a texture and if you're sensitive then this can be a little uncomfortable for a few minutes while it absorbs. - it's also sticky while it's absorbing - if you put a full 2 fingers worth on at one time, it feels weird and heavy. I do 1 finger, let it absorb, then do another 1 finger I work in an office, so I only apply this before I leave for work. If I'm out for the day, I re-apply every 2 hours. After the 4th or so application it does start to feel heavy, but at least I know my skin is moisturized and protected. All in all, I will be repurchasing this as long as they don't make it water-resistant. I can wear it every day, and reapply as needed with no issues. Update 5/9/2022 I have repurchased this sunscreen twice now. I still love it and it's the only one I can use consistently. Another pro is that the squalane makes this a really good slip for my morning gua sha routine.

Remarkable!
I am a dark skinned female with sensitive skin that seems prone to seborrheic dermatitis since babyhood. My skin is not acne prone. I do have hyperpigmentation. I wear makeup ("100% Pure" brand) 6 days a week. I've layed out the background! 😁 This goes on so smooth and spreads so easily that it's bizarre! I do get a grey cast immediately after, but the grey cast fades away after a few minutes. I then apply my make up and it stands up all day. Granted I'm in a building for much of the day but what I'm saying is my makeup is not negatively impacted. I have never used sunscreen before. Since I've started using this for the past month my skin has been smoother, softer and my hyperpigmentation on my face is less. I have hyperpigmentation on my arms as well, and this is almost gone entirely. I have zero regrets in purchasing this product and intend to purchase again.

Like it but don’t love it
I am a sunscreen fanatic, I never leave the house without having applied it I’ve tried a multitude of sunscreens from drugstore, higher end, and Korean or Japanese brands and decided to give this a go based on a recommendation. As stated in my title, I like it but it’s not my favorite. Pros: Spreads easily, is moisturizing, reef friendly, provides a fresh, dewy glow (for those that enjoy that finish, I do), provides a good base for makeup and you get a good amount of product for under $10. Cons: I’m fair to light with a neutral undertone and it leaves a slight white cast (I’m aware that most mineral sunscreens have a white cast but as it’s advertised as not leaving a white cast I feel like I should mention this). However it’s definitely not as pasty or grey as some of the other children’s sunscreens I’ve used on my kids. So it’s better than most but hasn’t made me stop my hunt for a sunscreen that does not leave a cast.

Safe, Effective, and a Family Favorite!
This is our go-to sunscreen! I love the clean ingredients, especially for my kids’ sensitive skin. We’ve repurchased it multiple times because it feels like it really protects well without any irritation. There’s no scent, which I really appreciate, and it goes on a bit thick at first (as expected with mineral sunscreen), but blends in nicely. A non-toxic, fragrance-free option I feel good using on the whole family.

Very good product with some caveats
This is an excellent physical sun block. It is part of the Pipette baby product line, but adults can use it too. 1. Very easy to spread. Among physical sunblocks, it is one of the easiest to spread. This is in contrast with Blue Lizard and Badger, which are so thick and the difficulty to spread has become a deterrent to use. And the best sunscreen is the one that you feel like consistently using and actually use. 2. It has a slight white cast. There’s no non-nano zinc oxide based sunscreen that absolutely doesn’t leave any white cast. Any claim contrary to that is nothing but a marketing ploy. Zinc oxide is white, unfortunately. With that said, this sunblock leaves the least amount of white cast I’ve ever seen for a 100% physical sunscreen. Considering it contains 20% of zinc oxide, this is very impressive. I have olive skin tone, the white cast is only slightly noticeable. However, if you have brown or dark brown skin, the white cast will be more obvious. 3. It is slightly greasy and leaves a shiny sheen on my normal skin, but not too much. Again, for 100% physical sunblock, greasiness is typical, as it needs an vehicle to carry the mineral. Some other products I tried are much worse. This one is pretty tolerable. But for people with oily to very oily skin, it probably doesn’t feel very comfortable. 4. This sunscreen is not water resistant. There’s no water proof sunscreen. But some sunscreens are water resistant. They will be labeled as such on the package. You can see water resistant label for either 40 minutes or 80 minutes in US. This sunscreen is not water resistant. This may not be an issue for babies, for whom the Pipette products line is designed for. But for an adult, if you want to wear it for sport or any water activities or if you just sweat a lot, this will not fit the purpose. On the other hand, not being water resistant means it is easily cleaned off at the end of day (no need to use special cleansing oil). So it may be an advantage for daily use.

A Sunscreen that is Natural AND Moisturizing!!
The Pipette 50spf Sunscreen that came in this 4 oz tube has been a lifesaver for this red haired, sensitive skin sun lover!!! I react to many chemicals, and strive to use natural. After trying many and determining that zinc oxide was too drying for me, I finally discovered Pipette. This original formula with moisturizing Squalane as the 3rd ingredient (high in product content), fit the bill 100%. My dry skin went undamaged, and the sunscreen works. Note: you MUST shake before applying. It alleviates a yellow or white cast if you do, and worth the effort.

[EDITTED 5STARS --> 3 STARS] Moisturizing, no Breakouts EDIT: BUT WHITE CAST under artificial light!
UPDATE: - Unfortunately there is a white cast under artificial light. If i'm under the sun it is fine so I would recommend this for beaches/hikes/runs etc. However, I would not wear this in the office as I become grey. ORIGINAL REVIEW: For reference I have dry and sensitive skin and was using a chemical sunscreen beforehand but am moving to use tret so I wanted a mineral sunscreen. [ THE PHOTO IS MY SKIN WITH THE SUNSCREEN ON, BARELY / NO WHITE CAST] I have tanish/lighter skin and other mineral moisturizers left a white cast on me (Cerave especially and Aveeno children's mineral sunscreen). The supergoop sunscreen also made me breakout which may be due to the silicone. In terms of this mineral sunscreen: 1. It has a very very very faint/nonexistent white tint on my skin tone. But it is easily blendable if I keep rubbing it into my face. 2. It is very moisturizing. Some people may not like this if they do not like stickier sunscreens, but I do not like the chalky texture of many mineral sunscreens and this sunscreen actually moisturizes my skin pretty well given that I have dry skin/will be using drying chemicals. 3. I did not breakout from this sunscreen at all. My skin did not react in any type of way—though it has to other sunscreens in the past. 4. Getting this sunscreen off is not difficult. I use an oil cleanser than use the Cerave foaming cleanser at night and I am able to get this off easily. 5. This suncreen does not pill when I use the Aveeno lotion (Green Daily Moisturizing Lotion), but it does pill if I use the Cerave Moisturizing cream so please be aware for anyone else using this. I am able to reapply it multiple times without pilling. Overall, I am a big fan of this sunscreen as I have no breakouts, it's easy to apply, doesn't pill with my Aveeno lotion, and is pretty moisturizing!

I loved this...but developed severe contact dermatitis to one of the ingredients
Update: I'm so bummed. It appears I've developed severe contact dermatitis (looks like a serious allergic reaction, but antihistamine doesn't help) to something in this. Hives at application site takes days to recover (gets worse with each reaction). Found other users with the same reaction (search reviews for "reaction" or "allergic", there are quite a few). Wish I knew which ingredient. It's 4 days from my last reaction, and my skin is still itching, red, and feels like leather. Feels like a bad chemical burn or severe sunburn. First 2 days, my skin covered in hives, swollen, red, and hot. Feels like bugs crawling on my face and biting me constantly. I've NEVER had a reaction to any skin care ingredients, but understanding is that anyone can develop a sensitivity to any ingredient any any time. Doesn't mean the product is bad, but I need to figure out which ingredient caused this horrible reaction. Sigh. So far, doing ok with Soon Jung and Dr G's mineral sunscreen. Now that Pipette is out, those two are in. Still love the Pipette baby shampoo and use it on my face, because it doesn't burn my eyes. Previous review: I was pleasantly surprised by this. I expected a white cast, and possibly a chalky fell for Zinc Oxide with an spf of 50. Glad I decided to give this a try after seeing recommendation from Dr Alexis Stevens. - Easy to spread - Feels Moisturizing, not drying - No white cast. I am fair skinned with yellow tone

Great mineral sunscreen
I am very happy i found this Mineral SPF. After finding out i am pregnant I had to change a lot of my cosmetics and I was struggling to find a good sunscreen that doesn't make my makeup look cakey. It is light-weigh and can look a bit oily on it’s own but it performs great under makeup, I highly recommend it if you are looking for pure mineral SPF that is safe during pregnancy and for your baby.

No CARA, si LO DEMÁS

Thick sunscreen with oily texture.
Quite thick and feels a bit oily. Smell wasn't very strong. Able to use for daily use. Might leave a white cast if not spread evenly.
