First time user, slight learning curve, but so far so good!
I had been seriously thinking about switching to a more convenient and affordable alternative to pads and tampons. I've used mainly pads for most of my life but in recent years (I'm in my early thirties) my periods have been getting MUCH heavier and my flow or the angle of my vaginal canal just doesn't work with tampons, I ALWAYS end up leaking on my heaviest days (yes, even with super plus ones ๐ฅฒ), which is when I need the most help! Another reason I wanted to switch was because I hate having to adjust the type of underwear I use or activities I can engage in (like swimming) while on my period. Anywho, as a first time cup user, of course there is a learning curve and all bodies are different, so even though I watched PLENTIFUL period cup and disc content ahead of time, there's nothing like going in there and doing it lol. Honestly for the price of this product and being a first time user, it was not nearly as troublesome as I thought it'd be. I've been using the small one and emptying it every two hours or so during the heavy days as I get used to it. I am currently towards the end, so I'm going to leave it in a lot longer since I highly doubt it will get full anyway (absolutely no longer than the recommended 6-12 hrs). First time insertion was messy and a bit difficult, but adding a bit of lube around the edge of the cup and using the punch fold seems to be working (shown in the video using the large size). Make sure you push back and not up to get it in place. The hardest part for me so far is making sure it opens up before I go on my merry way. Pulling it out a bit, wiggling it around and dragging a finger around the perimeter seems to help. At first it was a little unsettling that it disappears so far up there lol, but you can definitely get it out. To remove I wouldn't recommend yanking straight down (the suction can be slightly uncomfortable), what I do is bear down so it will peak out, grab the stem and gently pull as I bear down in intervals (like you're pooping), then move it back and forth until one of the edges starts peeking out and slowly releases the suction. At the entrance it can feel a little tight but from there pull straight down, grab the cup by the sides and voila, it's out! I've had no leaks that I've noticed, and I can't really feel it while it's in there. I know part of the point is to not be wasteful, but this first time I've been using nitrile gloves to insert and remove just because my long nails can make the experience more...pinchy lol All in all, I'm very happy so far and hoping this product will make my monthly period a far less inconvenient experience ๐ IMPORTANT TIPS/REMINDERS!!!: 1. Don't forget to sanitize (I'm boiling mine) for at least 5 minutes before first use and between uses. 2. Wash hands before and after inserting/removing to avoid any bacteria getting in there. 3. Rinse off with COLD water first after removing to try to avoid as much staining as possible. ๐ 10/10 great cup especially if you're a newbie like me, and if it doesn't work for you, you're not out $20-$40 by getting the more well-known brands ๐

Gotta give it time/Get used to using them but this brands the best & cheapest!!
Cons first. It takes a minute to get used to using it right & so it doesnโt suction INWARD like collapsed so it canโt fill up, so make sure when you get the resistance(suction) feeling as you pull it towards your vaginal opening itโs not sucked in. Another gripe I have is if your wet(which most women are during there periods) or have a very heavy period like me even when it suctions can over time slowly get sucked up inside you so it can leak a bit still but thereโs a reason I think itโs great. Pros: Tampons leak even more if you have a heavy period & because what comes out of us isnโt blue water liquid they are way worse so these surgical grade silicone cups are the best of the options we have. Reason #2 the price!! $15?? Diva cup which is the most known brand is $45!! #3 They give you TWO sizes!! 1 for women over 30/had children & under 30/no children(lighter periods/smaller cervixes). Each size for the other brands give you only 1 & the before mentioned brand would bring it to $90 if you started w/ the wrong size(like I did)& #3 All are made by pretty much the same medical grade silicon but this is the only brand Iโve seen that took the time to get FDA approved!!! So even though for us very heavy period/discharge girls it isnโt 100% leak free (if it sucks farther in you because your slippery)but this is by far the best thing available & should completely work once you get the hang of how to use them for most women. Plus you donโt feel a thing even though you bring it towards the opening of your vagina. By far the best period option & best price etc. Please follow directions & once you get the hang of it youโll wonder what you did without it!! Plus itโs the best one that gives you 2 sizes for $15??? SO worth it

Menstrual cups
Better for the environment. Re sanitary products these are better for the recipientโs wallet so Iโm including these in a donation for a womenโs charity. These are easy to use and to care for.

Not happy with these, will have to try something else.
The silicone is too stiff. They should offer softer and smaller sizes. Could not use these.

No regrets at all
I was skeptical about using a menstrual cup for the longest time and finally decided to give it a try. I have heavy flow in the initial days and pads just didn't make up to it as it would get messy and frequent changing. I am so glad I decided to get these specific brand after watching many video reviews and posts. the ball tip makes it so easy to locate and remove with a non slip grip. The two sizes are also great as you can use them as per your flow. No leaking, no ordor and no stains. Looks brand new and so easy to clean and store. Thumbs up!!
