READ AT YOUR OWN RISK! - READ AT YOUR OWN RISK.... IT IS OBVIOUS THAT WHEN YOU LOOK FOR REVIEWS YOU ARE GOING TO SEE SOME SPOILERS!!! DON'T COME CRY TO ME ABOUT SPOILERS. I have read Of Poseidon ( book 1) and of Triton (book 2) and I really loved those book! When I started Of Neptune I really did not know what to expect, because usually, when I read a trilogy always the sequels are never good as the first book and most of the time I end up disappointed . But that did not happen with the Syrena Legacy series by Anna Banks, I loved every single book of the series. In this last book Emma was sent to a town, Neptune, by Antonis her grandfather. This town was only for descendants of the General Poseidon that have decided to live in land, not only for Syrenas but also for half - breeds ( half humans , half Syrenas) and some humans. Since Emma always felt out of place in the Syrena world being the only one half-breed known , her grandfather sent her to Neptune so she could know that she wasn't alone and there was a place for her, that she also had another option for life , But what Emma and Galen did not know what to expect when they got there, because grandad never told her that it was a town of Syrenas, and halfbreeds. They meet a new character, Reed, another half breed he was very cool, nice, and funny and of course he was hot. Reed had a total crush on Emma since the first time they meet. And to this Galen wasn't happy. And I wasn't either ( but we'll get there soon). Reed took them to his dad, to meet him. Since being a half-breed is punishable by death in the ocean world, and these descendants living in land could never be in the ocean for the fear of being found by the Syrenas, Reder , asked Emma and Galen to be like a mediator or negotiator between the ocean world and the Town of Neptune. But Galen was not happy with this whole entire situation, wasn't happy with the Town wasn't happy with what Reder was asking them to do. To him this whole town was breaking the Syrena law, for living at land and having half-breeds children. Anyway,Emma and Galen got into a fight because of this , and Galen left , leaving Emma by herself at the town. To this fight I must say there was a misunderstood, miscommunication, because none of them wanted to say what they really needed to say, they did not want to hurt the other's feelings , so every time that they said something it came out wrong, and their words were misunderstood, so they both got really mad and Galen left . While driving away Galen had to stop the car on the side of the roads to cool down his temper, of course he wasn't going to leave her. Once he was calm he was about to head to the car when he was ambushed by Tyrden( yeah, our new villain) and other two Syrenas. They took him they kidnapped him and torture him. With Galen gone, Emma thought she was about to loose him forever. She called him left tons f messages, but he never answer, the poor kid was kidnapped. Reed saw the absence of Galen as his golden opportunity to get Emma. What I did not like about this was that he was asking her all the time to chose between him and Galen, since Galen apparently abandoned her, he was the only one there for her. But to me the way he asked to 'chose one of them' did not make sense , it wasn't like they were dating for a long time before Galen. No, he just meet her and he was asking her to chose one of them? It did not feel right. Another thing, I thought it was pointless to the book , was Kennedy.I think that the author made that small side story with him, just to feel up pages, to make the book bigger because what happened with him had nothing to do with the main problem, with the story. I wish I could have read more of Toraf, Rayna, Grom. Naila, they are all so funny and great characters! Overall, it was a very good book, had its HEA! 5/5 stars! Review: I was stuck in this world for days after finishing it which is something that marks a REALLY good book for me - I had the first two books for a while and just recently got around to reading it on my vacation. I was hooked instantly, it had everything I wanted! The fantasy, romance and lots of other details that kept me turning the pages. I finished the second book and ordered this one right away! It was there for me when I got back from vacation and I inhaled it! I was stuck in this world for days after finishing it which is something that marks a REALLY good book for me. I just wanted to live in the world of these characters for a little longer!!

A Nice Read
Of Neptune concludes Anna Banks' Syrena Legacy trilogy and it was quite the read! Granted, it feels like it's been forever since I've read Of Triton, so my memory was pretty much shot in that area, but luckily there were enough reminders of what has already happened, the important details at least. Emma and Galen are going on a trip to get away from it all...everything, they deserve the break. But when Emma's grandfather suggests a town to visit, Emma is shocked to discover the little town of Neptune is filled with Half-Breeds, just like her. Emma is fascinated with everything and everyone around her. Galen, not so much. Mostly because their tour guide is Reed, another Half-Breed who seems to like Emma a lot! When Emma and Galen get into an argument, Galen leaves Neptune but it waylaid by an enemy who decides to hold him hostage, while Emma is left in Reed's capable hands. I got to tell you, that was one of the most extreme points of the story with Emma and Galen separated and each one thinking the worst! Emma thinks Galen is mad at her and doesn't want anything more to do with her and all other sorts of insecurities enter her mind. Galen is concerned because she's still in Neptune where enemies are in hiding. So yeah, definitely intense! I felt very suspicious of Reed and basically the whole Neptune town. It was like Stepford or something. It wasn't overly perfect, but the community was very tight-knit, to the point you think they're hiding something. Think of the Skins in Roswell, Season 2. When Liz and the gang go to see the senator's family to pay their "respects" for her death and all. They were an obvious shady bunch and that is exactly the feeling in had with the residents of Neptune. I was sad to see that Toraf and Rayna weren't there but for the last few chapters because they were always an enjoyable pair! Especially Toraf and his antics, I loved that guy! It's so weird to read this book that's considered YA for our characters are now 19 and 21, but yet, saying it's a New Adult seems off. Especially with what other New Adult books contain, but regardless, this definitely fits the YA bill in terms of content. The romance between Emma and Galen--for the beginning at least--is sweet, since they're trying to wait until their mating ceremony. But these two are going to have a lot of obstacles to tackle in this book. And it's entirely possible they might not even make it to the mating ceremony. Of Neptune was the perfect kind of series ender! There's questions thrown about regarding everyone's fate; there's action, romance, humor, suspense! What more could you ask for in your read? And I must say I was quite happy with how it ended. It does definitely ring of a final tone, but yet, there's a kind of peacefulness to it all that makes it a most enjoyable read! Overall Rating 4/5 stars

Great book

This is my least favourite of the three books of this saga. It continues the story from the previous book giving it a nice twist. But in my opinion, the previous ones were better.

This was fantastic! I don't know what else to say. Mermaids are a truly fantastic avenue to explore and I can't even pretend to hide my attachment to this series. It was a worthy conclusion.
