Definitely worth the money
I love this sign. It holds up well in rain, snow and heat for about 14 months then it’s time to buy another. I think it makes a huge difference to have the sign especially as it’s very bright at night. I see people look at it who meander by my home, and I think it makes a difference to not mess with my home as opposed to another home that has no signs for video security at night. It’s well worth it.

Reflective, sturdy and looks nice as a deterrent
Installed a few months ago in front of our mailbox. Looks nice (professional) and is very sturdy with an aluminum mounting pole. The sign itself is very reflective and feels like it will last. I didn't realize there was a solar model. I'll bet it's nice but feel like it might be more "attractive" to thieves. I'd rather be out $20 than $50.

Review: Ring Solar Security Sign
I recently picked up the Ring Solar Security Sign, and I’ve got to say, it’s pretty solid! Pros: Visibility: First off, this sign is super visible. The bright colors really stand out and can definitely make someone think twice about messing around with your place. Solar-Powered: I love that it’s solar-powered. No need to fuss with batteries and it’s nice to know it’s eco-friendly, too! Easy to Install: Installation was a breeze. It comes with everything you need, so I had it up in no time. Durability: The sign feels sturdy and seems like it can handle whatever the weather throws at it. Cons: Dim Lighting: The illumination could be a little brighter. It’s not super intense, which might not be great for really low-light areas. Price: It’s a bit pricier than regular security signs, which might not be for everyone. Overall Impression: All in all, the Ring Solar Security Sign is a great way to beef up your home security. It’s visible, solar-powered, and easy to install. While the size and lighting could be improved, it’s still a solid investment for peace of mind. If you’re looking to keep your home safe, this sign is definitely worth considering!

This advertises. It does not become an active (or passive for that matter) sensor.
Design informs passersby that your home is being monitored. Whether the Ring system inside is attached to a security account with Ring, or not, the sign stands warning people that Ring products are within. You can't ask for more than that. All alarm companies do that same thing. The only question is, what is the difference in the quality of monitoring by the company? Ring does pretty well, in my experience. Ring has been responsive to all problems that I have had, and all alarms that have been triggered. These folks are easy to work with, intelligent, knowledgeable, and responsive to your needs. I have used ADT, SimpliSafe and Ring systems. Ring's sensors and software are superior to SimpliSafe's hands down. Ring’s customer service is great! My homes’ experience with ADT is that the sensors lose battery power and you receive notices from ADT alarm monitoring that one of your sensors are down. You receive notice that one of your motion detectors (one of five) has a dead battery. Which one, you ask? ADT tells you the one in the corner. OK. That is probably your fault for naming a sensor ‘corner.’ Again, which corner? Because ADT did the install, it is difficult for the homeowner to find the right unit to replace the appropriate battery. (BTW each sensor has a different type of battery.) A trip to the correct store (grocery, hardware, electronics or do-it-yourself) reflects the effort required to restore the sensor to operation. The real question becomes, should you have been notified when the battery was weak? Early notice provides you time. ADT controls your time, because you don’t get to monitor the system, you have to react to ADT’s notification. At least for the ADT system installed in my home. That may have changed over the years since the 1980’s, but I speak from my experience, not guessing what present services are. As for SimpliSafe, I never had my system work as designed — there was always something wrong with AT LEAST ONE sensor! At least I fought for an entire year trying to get the system equipment

The Ring system seems is inexpensive, but the accessories and add-on's ... uh ... add up.

Missing the piece of metal which connects together the two metal post. No response from Ring. Have 6 cameras. Included pictures for reference. Sign is unusable otherwise.

I didn't write review right away. Plastic and wasn't sure it would last. It has been going over a year and can be spotted as people drive past. Happy with purchase

This sign was easy to put together and install in my front yard; it looks great and the light lasts a decent amount of time into the night.
