Good
New unit. Stops functioning for 2 min. daily, then comes back on. Checked sensor and magnet gap, ok. As long as it comes back on, I have no problem. Must be a normal thing I have to start expecting from foreign goods. Disconcerting. A mechanical American made speedometer won't fit my wheel. Its just for reference, not needed for bike functioning.

It was compared with another one and broke
I bought this one for myself and this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01HL0B5AU/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 for my dad. Mine broke on the first ride and the other one did great. The other one was also cheaper and easier to install. Cons: 1. The computer was hard to install and did not start reading speed until the 4th try. 2. The sensor magnet fell off after about 5 miles 3. The actual sensor piece does not connect to the bike very well, slipped and stopped reading speed or distance. 4. The mileage reader on it was not as accurate compared to the other bike computer. 5. The sensor needs to be placed so close to the magnet that it is dangerous if you shake the bike too hard. The pros are really useless because it broke, but I will list them anyway. 1. The screen is large and easy to read. 2. It can be mounted on the back tire and not only the front.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, but see caveats below, JIC
It's great. Works great. Wireless. Works well on a bike stand (many wireless versions don't because the distance to the rear wheel is too far for them to handle. LARGE font!! 😉 BACKLIGHT ! Great Price ! You can manually sweet the Odometer reading. This is very good useful after changing the battery!! Many don't offer this option. Temp, Calories, Fat are bonus!! Downsides: (No cadence. But that is less important to me than backlight, large font, & wireless for rear wheel.) Requires *2* batteries. And they need to be replaced OFTEN! So stock up. WON'T EASILY SLIDE INTO ITS HOLDER, OR SLIDE OUT!!! Frustrating. It definitely takes minutes every time. And it winds up shooting out of my hands and on the floor several times while trying. FINALLY I added a piece of tape offer the battery life, because every time it landed on carrier, the back popped off. So I had to replace the battery, and enter the setup all over again. Didn't matter how tight I twisted the lid, it always popped off until o add tape. Most cycloputers will reset all the session stats at once. This one you have to select most of them individually. This can be a bonus, I suppose, of you want a running total for calories, say, but otherwise, it takes a bit longer to reset for each ride. And is more prone to error. The ORDER the stats are shown is a strange order that I just cannot get used to. Even years later. The "cycle thru" all starts is frustrating. Especially because of the order in which it's placed in the cycling thru display options. I usually don't like to use it, and is frustrating when I'm trying to reset stats, or set it to a particular start, only to find out that my stay won't reset, or to have the display unexpectedly change on me. I should get used to it by now. Maybe if it was in a different order I would? I do understand the usefulness of this feature for many people though. Location of turning the backlight in means I'm constantly turning it on when I don't intend to. Especially when trying to remove it or replace it into outs holder. So that doesn't help better life. I'm not sure where a better location would be tho, so I just try to keep an eye on it. it IS vet responsive. And better than having a 3rd physical button 😉 -- To be fair, this is the 2nd time I ordered this model. I have it on 2 bikes now, after the wire from my wired version on this bike broke. (I'd been frustrated over lack of backlight, and difficulty of reading its small font for years anyway. I already had this one in another bike, so for the price, I decided not to even try splicing that wire back together 🤣) Basically, I determined that a LARGE FONT & BACKLIGHT, as well as wireless (that works on a trainer) were very important features!! Usually I have on the backlight. But then spend the next several years frustrated at no backlight to read on a darkened room, PLUS a toil small font. Having backlight is far better than keeping phone or flashlight nearby. Because I almost always need it. So the quick battery usage, while adding quite a but to the price over time, and lack of cadence, and strange order of display wind up being less important. And the more labor intensive way of resetting the states. I've learned this the hard way, over years. And learned it again. Oh and how the location of the backlight means I often turn it on (or off) by accident. Usually On. All in all, I think the worst part of this device is that the manufacturing specs for the computer and it's holder are a miss. It WILL go in and CAN be removed, but it's an unreasonable exercise of frustration every time. The best parts are the size, backlight, and having a wireless version for mounting on a the rear wheel. At a reasonable price (even if you have to buy several batteries/year, instead of 1 every several years)

Inexpensive Speedometer/Odometer for Bikes
This Speedometer/Odometer is a great price for someone that just wants to know how fast they are going and how far they went. Once installed, the unit worked great, however, the instructions need some work, so I included photos of the finished product. Especially the sensor and spoke magnet proximity. That was not clear in the instructions, so please take a look at the photos. Please note that the unit DOES NOT come with the screw on mount as shown in the photos. My wife had a basket attachment, so I modified the mount received to screw onto her bike, versus the zip tie mounting provided. I am sure the zip tie mount will work, but this was more permanent and made sense considering her basket bracket was in the way. Once I figure out the spoke magnet and sensor, this thing works flawlessly. Turns off with inactivity, and starts up with a couple of wheel revolutions. She likes it, and it does exactly what is needed, plus more. Our main reason for purchase was Speedometer and Odometer, which work great!!

Highly recommend
Great product, well worth the money. Bought this to use with a bike trainer stand i just purchased to track my exercise while my stationary bike parts come in. I didn't expect much out of this device, just wanted a general idea of my work out stats, but I am very impressed with its accuracy. Just going off of the info from my stationary bike (calories burned, time, speed & distance) that i was consistantly getting from months of use, i'd say this device is impressivly accurate. Another edge this product has over other brands is that is can be mounted to the back frame/tire, a necessity for me because my front tire does not spin in the trainer stand. I bought & returned another highly rated reader cuz it didn't have the range to collect info from the back tire. Only negative to this device is the sensor and magnet it uses to generate your info needs to be very close, like 3mm away which requires a lil bit of adjustment to get it to work, but the other device i returned had the same distance too, so i think that will be common flaw with any device. Also when mountiing the magnet make sure to put it on the outside of the spokes, closest to the tire. The closer it is to the center the faster and more inaccurate your speed/reading will be. But in general I am very happy with this product, price & shipping speed.
