Makes a nice job, easy to apply and sand
First let me say that I've never done fiberglass repair before buying this product. An accident resulted in a large crack that separated a section of fiberglass on our RV. After getting the fiberglass itself put back together from building it back up from the back side, I needed something easy to sand and paint for filling the crack on the visible side. This was what I decided to go with because of what appeared to be an easy to understand mixing and application process. The instructions seemed almost too simple - just mix it one to one and it's ready to use when it's green. It was so easy to mix and apply that I was honestly surprised. Sanding was easy as well, and it shaped up very nicely. It accepted the primer perfectly and made for a successful repair job. It has been six months since doing that project, and it still looks great with no signs of cracking. The RV repair shop who helped me with the mechanical damage from the accident couldn't believe that I actually repaired the fiberglass damage myself, lol. So anyway, while I can't recommend taking on a major repair project with no experience or professional supervision other than a couple of YouTube videos - that's exactly what I did, and this product is a big part of why I was able to do it. I recommend it 100%.

Great fairing compound! Easy to use and easy to sand but tough enough for decks and cockpits.
I have used this on multiple boats. First time application didn't work well, but that is on me as I didn't properly prep the surface before application. All other applications have gone great. This sands easy and fills where needed. Make sure you mix it well so that the color is uniform green! Otherwise it will not achieve maximum cure and hardness.

Easy to use
I'm working on a Lund Pike. I'm using the putty to seal the seams and edges of the deck. This is the 1st time using this stuff. I like it allot. It's easy to mix, plenty of working time, it's strong when dried. Then if I have an area that didn't smooth out when I was troweling it on. It's easy to go back to that spot 45 minutes or so later and with the putty knife trim excess or smooth rough spots. It also dries hard but sands nice. Cleaning up tools I've been using xylol it wipes right off. The only thing I didn't like was the price. It's good but 80 dollars good I guess I've never used anything that compares but still...

Good product, follow manufacturers instructions
Very good product, easy to work with, dries quickly, sands down nicely. So far it’s held up strong. And a little goes a long way so you’ll have plenty of material to fair up any imperfections.

Good product
I started a couple small repairs on my santacruz 27 and love this product. Its really nice to work with. It gives you adequate time for filling and shaping whatever you are doing and it's nice and smooth. Ive seen boat repairs done before and this seems to be the stuff you see mixed together and used. It must be the best stuff to use! I hope the small repairs last a very long time with this, I'm optimistic! Perfect thickness and dries within a good adequate time for shaping.

Old product?
Well, I wish I'd read all the reviews before I bought this. It doesn't seem fair to review the product because I feel like I didn't actually get the real product. Like another purchaser, the "blue" component wasn't blue on top, it was green - and the consistency of the blue stuff underneath was close to modeling clay (see pic). The yellow component on the other hand was the correct color and the consistency of smooth peanut butter. I feel like the blue compound was either not packed well, or just old and/or contaminated. Regardless, we are in the middle of nowhere and unable to drive to get a replacement - and we had to fair this past weekend - so we tried to use it. Big mistake. Mixed too thick, cured too fast, and once sanded, it is covered in pinholes. I've reached out to what I believe is their customer support by email and if I hear from them and get a replacement, I will update this review with how the product actually works... xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx UPDATE: I've been emailing with their Support Team and was told: "The blue component is now a little thicker than it used to be and the green tinge on top is normal. When mixed with the yellow at the right proportion it will turn into a creamy mixture that is easy to spread." I responded and told him that I made sure I mixed it using two equal sized measuring cups - so I know the volumes were identical. I used a 3M paper palette, good plastic mixing/application boards, and mixed in the standard figure-8 pattern until it was a uniform green color. However, what I got was not exactly a "creamy mixture that is easy to spread." It was a sort of creamy, but mostly dense mixture and the finished product left many small air bubbles that turned into pinholes after sanding. His response was to copy and paste the same email as before. I have to finish the work this weekend, so I'm going to dump the blue component out of the tub, knead it like dough, and then mix it and see if it works any better. Will update with results and until I see better performance, it remains one star.

Good stuff for fairing my sailboat hull. Goes on easy, cures well and sands well. I am in a cool humid climate and other product have trouble curing properly even when the weather is right. Total boat let's you get your boat back in the water faster.

Fairing compound is really easy to mix, apply and later sand. Used it to repair sanded down paint blisters on my fiberglass pool. Final test will be to see how fairing compound accepts epoxy primer and coating.
