goto walmart and buy some clear lite weight plastic you can cut an wrap it around each spool take number off each spool clear tape it to clear plastic on side.

Can these be used for sewing or is it just for Embroidery?

This is embroidery thread. That being said, there are sewing uses for it. It’s not meant to construct a garment. It won’t hold up to the wear and tear of seams. It can be used for top stitching when you want that shiny look or something decorative. Some buttonholes look good with it. If you are new to sewing or sew very little, don’t buy these. Use regular sewing thread like Coat’s and Clark or Gutterman.

Are these threads good quality for the brother pe 770? and pe 780d?

They are working well on my brother 770. I didn't get a thread chart so they emailed one to me. I looked up the numbers and wrote down the 4 digit code that's usually on designs I download. Also, I found that if I use a box cutter to slightly cut the little thread holder on the bottom of the spool, if locks the thread in place. Very happy with assortment of colors.

I use it in my sewing machine because it's polyester and in my embroidery machine. No problems.
