Excellent Chinese Caligraphy Drawing Brush Large Small Medium Size Pack of 3

These calligraphy brushes have helped me immensely in my learning to write in Chinese. They come in different sizes to adjust for the skill level and comfort of the user. They are very high quality. I highly recommend this product.

This is a great budget option for a set of 3 calligraphy brushes -- small, medium, and large. In an art store, a single calligraphy brush can cost about the same as this whole set (~$6). I can't speak to the long term durability and quality of the brushes, but they hold a good amount of ink and have a sharp point. The brushes come packaged in a small box (see photo), which I appreciate. When you first receive the brushes, the hairs are stiff because they are coated in a thin layer of glue. Before using a brush, soak it in lukewarm water to remove the glue. The brush becomes soft after the glue is removed, but it can be easily reshaped back into its pointy shape by pinching it with water.

Not high quality (they have each lost bristles). But they work great on a “magic papered” chalk board. :-)

Cheap quality, have fallen apart in less than three months.

These wolf hair Chinese/Japanese calligraphy brushes were a very good purchase. The brushes were very high quality and worked very well. One note, each brush has a size written on it in Chinese: 小 (Xiǎo) - Small, 中 (Zhōng) - Middle/Medium, 大 (Dà) - Large.

Super light brushes, although that's not necessarily a bad thing. It's weasel hair, and it's not the best for kaisho style writing, since the hair tends to maintain its position rather than springing back after you write. Expect to be constantly reshaping the brush tip as you write. The hair falls out pretty regularly, and you have to be careful not to get any strays on the paper when you write. Not very pleasant to write with, but they're ok for a beginner. If you want something finer and miles more comfortable, get a Pentel pocket brush pen. Synthetic bristles are amazing and actually spring back into shape.

I bought these for my husband for Christmas and they were beautiful, well-balanced and really small art pieces themselves. Very encouraging for a new artist to have such special, well crafted tools.

The group only used them for an afternoon, so I can't speak to how long they will hold up, but they worked very, very well--appear to be excellent quality for the price. And for the price, we gave each student their brush to keep.

Great value for the money

L'oggetto è conforme alla descrizione ed il venditore è una persona serissima, i pennelli sono davvero ottimi ponderati al prezzo. Sono di tre misure e soddisfano le aspettative, possono essere usati anche con l' acquerello. Consiglio vivamente sia il prodotto che il venditore. Allego foto dei pennelli poggiati su di un foglio A4 per far capire la dimensione reale ed un dettaglio della punta del pennello grande.

Very bristly, and the hair kept falling when painting. Not good quality brushes

These are the best brushes I have ever bought, they are perfect for painting with watercolour. You can paint with them easily both on a big and a small surface. They hold a lot of water and provide enormous flexibility when you paint. They are so awesome that I did an entire art project using these brushes. My only problem that the handle on a big brush is bent instead of straight.
