Gustaf's AllSorts Gourmet English Licorice Candy, 6.3 Ounce Peg Bag

These Allsorts were delicious and I would absolutely order them again when I am fancying a treat! The candies themselves were fresh and there was a healthy assortment of various pieces including cut licorice sticks, coconut wrapped pieces and more! If you enjoy licorice, you will certainly enjoy the various tastes of Gustaf's AllSorts!

I've loved licorice candy ever since I was a child. Any flavor. Any form. But AllSorts were, and still are, one of my favorites because so many different kinds of licorice come in one single package. Earlier this year, I ordered a bag of Wiley Wallaby's Australian AllSorts (all of their licorice is incredibly fresh and totally delicious), but the word "All" in AllSorts was a bit of a stretch as several of the kinds typically included in an AllSorts assortment were missing. So this time around, I decided to order from another company, and based on reviews, Gustaf's was my pick. Ack, what a disappointment! Not only was the bag tiny, but when I opened it, it was half empty (yes, I know the packages are done by weight). At first glance, the candy inside looked old, and when I tasted it, it was stale, very hard and practically crumbled apart. I have no idea how long it sat in a hot warehouse, but it was really not edible and a total waste of money. I rechecked the reviews and did find more than a few 1-star ratings from customers who had the same unpleasant experience as me; I only wish I'd seen them sooner. I'll definitely be ordering again from Wiley Wallaby's.

Tastes great if you like real, slightly earthy, slightly bitter licorice. The other flavors are only perceived as sweetness, except for the coconut, which partners surprisingly well with the licorice. Hate the new packaging. 21st-century cheese.

They are good, but boy is the bag small for the price. They're imported from England, so i figure that is the reason for the cost. My bag has an expiration date sticker of 12/9/26 and these are just about as fresh as i can get at my local vintage candy store. Having been shipped overseas, i consider the condition excellent. I didn't realize how high in carbs these would be, but it's candy so that's on me. As a diabetic, this bag will last me a while. (26g for 6pcs). Amazon delivered these promptly, next day to my porch. I bought these for my hubby. He ate them all right away

These were NOT the same black licorice as back in the 60's! The bag and the candy look the same but inside the package it was a hot mess. My favorite USED TO BE the little dot of black licorice with the sprinkle coating all over it. There was ONE pink one in the bag. no blue at all, and the other pieces were all falling apart in the back. There were horrible for the price. So much for nostalgia candy- next time I will stick to good & plenty for my black licorice fix. ugh threw it all out!! It tasted old and stale to boot. I highly NOT RECOMMEND THIS ONE!!

You either enjoy licorice or you don't. If you don't read no further. You are really not going to like this. If you do, well you have been warned. At $1.58 per ounce even as a holiday indulgence this is rough. So price is price you can do the math of you wish to proceed, however you should know what's at the end. I had to give this treat a 2 because not everything could be manufacturing. Generally licorice is not soft but a wonderfully chewy. This crap was brittle, dry and very short on flavor. But hey you gotta try. I'm not going to order this again. Merry Christmas
