The lanyard is not the best quality but it functions okay. The stopper bead to control the lanyard length is near useless, hence the need to tie a knot to shorten length of the lanyard. My 5 year old loves it and blows the his whistle much today - too loud in the house so I had to take it away and remind him it's for emergency use only.
