75 Year Old Boat Repair!
I needed a quick but durable fix for a section of rotted and damaged rub rail on my 75 year old wooden boat. In the off season I'll replace the rail but for now I need to get it in the water. This wood putty did great. Mix 1:1, roll it to shape and fit it in place. I used gloved fingers and a putty knife to rough it in place. Tip: wet your fingers or putty knife with a few drops of rubbing alcohol when you're shaping it. Prevents the epoxy putty from sticking and gives a smoother finish. It's solid and strong but sands very easily. It sets up in less than an hour but I gave it 2 days to fully cure before sanding then staining. I'm really impressed. It totally blends into and accepts the stain exactly matching the 75 year old mahogany. Replacing the rub rail will be a big job. This gets the old lady (the boat) back in the waer this summer. 5 stars! โญโญโญโญโญ

Easy to work with.
While expensive, this epoxy putty works. I used it to repair a rotted door frame. After removing all of the rotted, punky wood I made sure only solid wood was left in place. Once mixed, the putty allows adequate working time to make sure the newly created void is completely filled without any gaps. The patch adhered to the surrounding wood just fine and is able to be sanded to blend it into the rest of the door frame. This worked so well I ordered a second batch of putty so I can repair some rotted window frames.

Easy for novice DIY'er
Why did you pick this product vs others?: Great product, easy to work with and apply and has lasted for years when used with Rot-fix to prep the repair area. Far easier to apply and shape than the caulk gun type epoxies, especially for vertical applications because its a fairly dry, lightweight putty and doesn't run or sag.

Works Great - Read Directions!
Just used it for the first time and will definitely buy again. I was wood carving a ram and for the life of me couldn't figure out how to carve the big horns. I finally decided to use wire. Then I figured some sort of clay. That's when I discovered this specific epoxy for wood. I wrapped it in wire and it's hard as a rock. READ DIRECTIONS! It wasnt working out at first until I reread directions. You have to mix it then kind of flatten it like dough and wait a good 15-20 minutes. At that point, it's not so wet and sticky so you can lift it and adhere it to what you need. It took me a few hours to make the horns because I layered it 3-4 times. With each layer, you need to wait half hour as well. So, give yourself time and if you expect it going in it's no big deal.

Incredible results.
Like Magic. Expensive yes. Worth every penny. I have a home with exposed beams and they were severely rotten. I followed the steps in a very helpful video from manufacturer. Borate powder, epoxy resin, rebar for support, then sculpt wood putty. This is not a fast process each step takes about a day to cure. I used plywood forms lined with parchment paper (glued on w/ spray adhesive). Still have finish work but holy smokes I am in love with the results. 2 down 5 more to go.

Awesome product to use on unique shaped wood pieces that have succumbed to wood rot
I have curved wood arm rests on an outdoor glider. No online replacement and I don't have wood tools to recreate it. Tried this product and it did the trick. Easy to use. It's easy to sand and paint after it hardens. There's no grain pattern to it, but no one is going to be looking that close!
