This is designed mostly for neck and shoulder heat. I found the temperature perfect for my neck. Not so hot that it burned my neck, but hot enough to help my neck. I turn it on high setting for 20 minutes (The amount recommended from doctors) then turn it to low for as long as I want. This gives me tremendous relief. The unit has a good cord length, the controller was larger than my old heating pad, but I found it much easier to hold. It has very soft fabric. The only negative is when I am laying in bed the weighted edges cause a lump in my back. I quickly get used to it, but wish they might redesign a flatter surface with the same weight. If I am sitting in my recliner or at my desk it is perfect! The weight keeps it from slipping off my shoulders and keeps it close to the areas needing heat. There is no gaping. The clasp to secure it in the front is made of plastic. Not sure how well it will hold up with repeated use, but we shall see. Overall I like this item, and would buy again unless a newer version with flatter weighted edges were designed.

I have been keep using this electric heating pad in office for weeks. I like the shawl design with a snap button to avoid slide down. The heat not only keep my shoulder and neck warn but also help the blood circulation. I sit in front of a computer and stay in the same posture for many hours every day. I believe this is the reasons I suffered with sore neck and shoulder, and have a cervical spine pain. The heat pad cutting, stick to neck and shoulder, is more efficiency to relieve muscle aches and tension, and help reduce muscle pain and tightness. I also would like to bring up the size because it is not as big as the picture, I would like to say it is a free size suitable most people. Since I use it in office, microwaveable heating pad doesn’t suitable due to the short period of time, and office microwave may not alway keep in clear condition. This electric heating pad keep for 2 hours. This is another reason I prefer electric than microwave. Hope my experience helps anyone who are facing sore issues.

I have been dealing with a frozen shoulder on the right for the last year and more recently on the left my back has been achey. I was looking for a heating pad to help relieve some of the pain. This one does a pretty good job. It’s very soft and there’s pretty good coverage. It heats up quickly and if you need it, the High temperature gets you pretty toasty. A few things I wish it had was a heating element for the neck and that you could make the neck a little more snug for pin necks like me, lol. I realize it needs to fit a variety of different sized people but maybe make a smaller version. Maybe they do and I missed it? The other thing is I wish there was some more weight to it, like the rice filled neckwraps you heat up in the microwave. I would use something like that but the rice cools quickly. If there was consistent heat and weight as well as the shoulder and back coverage, I’d be set! Overall though if you are looking for a soft and warm heating pad, this one is not a bad deal.

After purchasing multiple old fashioned heating pads, I finally decided to try one of these. I have a torn rotator cuff and it's hard to get heating pads to sit right and provide heat where I need it. This pad is perfect. It sits perfectly on the shoulders and honestly warms up the area before you even turn it on. Once on, the heat is fast and covers the entire area. The material is soft and comfortable so I don't even need to put it in a pillow case. I highly recommend this product.

This is a great heating pad for your neck and shoulders. The cord is long enough that it is easy to use without having to be right at an outlet. The only improvement would be just a little more weight to it, but not much. The heating is excellent, and the ability to mist it with water to get a bit of damp heat is absolutely amazing. I have been using this quite regularly to help with a shoulder issue, and it has helped quite nicely.

Let’s start with the pros. This heating pad is super soft and comfortable. I love how it is weighted. It says it is washable but I have not washed it yet to see how it holds up. Now for the cons. I was disappointed that the neck piece doesn’t actually have any heating elements in it. It does get hot at the base of the neck piece and so it does kind of get my neck warm but not like it would if they were actual heating elements in the neck part of it. Also the heat in the rest of it seems spotty. Some places get really hot and some not so much. So sometimes I have to move it around so the really hard part gets on the part of my body that is the most sore. Finally, it would be helpful if there was a second snap. There is one snap that holds it in place. However, I am a small female and I have to gather it around me tighter in order for it to really touch my body everywhere. I do use it all the time but wish it had even heat throughout all of it including the neck. Would I order it again? Maybe.

I got this heating pad for Christmas and I'm glad I did. It's very reassuring. I used it for my tired shoulders and it warmed up my upper back, very cozy. Very relaxing. It has 3 settings and I feel the longer you have it on, the warmer it gets. You're not supposed to sleep while wearing it but it can really relax you. So watch out!! Love it!!!

when first time using it, i was going to return it. like other reviewers said, not hot enough. i really meant only feeling minimal heat even with no shirt on! however after a few more uses, it started producing more heat. now with hi setting it is hot enough. Very soft material. Relaxed my neck and shoulders. The initial smell will be gone after couple days of use also. Very good product.
