The unit is connected to my laptop with USBC (it can also use USBA to connect) in the display port. I tested it in the power USBC port as well, and that appears to work fine too. The only thing that would make this better is a few USBC ports for additional devices, like charging my cell phone. (Entirely possible there's a higher model that has that, so if its a necessity for you, check thoroughly for that.)
