The oldest of five children, he loved to cook for his younger siblings. His love of the kitchen became a lifelong passion. Many years later after he moved to New York, Mario dreamed of bringing the kind of meals his mother cooked to a much larger audience. He started his own company, and chose AMORE as the brand name because, “Love is universal and nobody is against it.” Mario returned to Italy often in search of great products and in 1978 discovered concentrated paste tubes made from fresh Italian ingredients. Having seen nothing like it in the USA, he knew that it was exactly the type of product that he could be proud to sell. Review: Smooth, delicious & versatile - My 1st Amore purchase was for their sun-dried tomato paste. Then I tried this one with the basil & now have an additional favorite in the pantry. Very nice, smooth taste. convenient for when you don't want to open an entire can of tomato paste or even if you just want something that tastes REALLY good in your recipe & you can refrigerate it after without dealing with cutting a can open & a sometimes messy ending. I've taken these tubes on vacation with me when I know I'll be doing some cooking. They travel well! Review: Me gustan 🤩 ## Features - FRESH INGREDIENTS: Made with Italian tomatoes that are harvested at the peak of freshness unlike other brands that rely on artifical flavors. - BOLD FLAVORS: Resealable bags are packed with bold, vibrant, and zesty flavors to create unmistakably authentic Italian dishes. - EASY TO USE: Tomato paste in a squeeze tube allows the paste to stay fresh and ready to use for your meals. Great product and exactly what I needed. It’s priced ok I guess but I wish it was a bit cheaper. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.is/products/21524661-amore-vegan-basil-tomato-paste-tube-made-in-italy-pack](https://www.desertcart.is/products/21524661-amore-vegan-basil-tomato-paste-tube-made-in-italy-pack) --- *Product available on Desertcart Iceland* *Store origin: IS* *Last updated: 2026-10-25*
