Wow the book itself is an art form and the art work and if course the actual haikus price isswell worth it

Beautiful pictures. The writing is lovely. A quality book. A wonderful gift of haiku!

My granddaughter is learning Japanese, and this book not only provides access to the language, but also the culture. She loves it!

Shipping and handling good. There was a slight tear in the package, but no damage to book. I really enjoy this book … the poems and illustrations are both good, but together are great. 👍 👍

The binding was unique and beautiful, as was the artwork on each page. Each page is double. A fantastic book

The physical appearance and quality of the book is excellent. Good also are the poems and the added feature of the original Japanese in both kana and romanization. Half of the illustrations are on the mark. The other half of the illustrations however are the problem. They are unsuitable for the content of the book, are clearly meant for other uses or interests. I shall not return the book, but now I must be on the look-out for illustrations to replace the unsuitable ones in the book. Given the construction of the book itself, with the Chinese style binding (although Chinese book bound in the traditional way have flexible covers) and thus the double pages, attaching better illustrations ought to be easy enough. A harder task will be to find good illustrations of appropriate size.

The book size is big and the picture mostly are nice. But I don’t like few of them are not paintings, it is only a photo. Otherwise it is all good. Especially if for a bit aged people, the words are big enough to see 😁

Just the right level of pretentious for a gift for my dad

Beautiful, carefully chosen illustrations for each haiku. Wonderful layout of calligraphy and the English text. Everybody should have a copy of this even if they don't like poetry.
