For items that cannot be rubbed (like berries or Brussels sprouts) you can spray and let sit for several seconds before rinsing. Alternately, add some of the product to a bowl of water and soak produce for 30 seconds to a minute before rinsing. I have frequently gotten distracted and soaked things for several minutes without any damage/residual taste - just rinse very well!
