I'm not usually a chai person, as I'm not a big cinnamon fan, and most blends seem to be all about the cinnamon. I received this in a sampler from another tea-loving friend and fell in love. Less cinnamon and more cardamom, with a pop of pepper. It is zingy and complex, and lovely with a splash of half-and-half and a sugar cube or two. I ordered the full size before I was even through with my sample

I love Kolkata Chai Signature, but I don't love the fact that it costs almost $5 per oz, and when on S&S the max discount is only 10%. VAHDAM Masala Chai (15% discount on S&S) is the closest I have come to Kolkata's specific flavor profile. The taste is nearly identical and the 12oz. bag of this tea is less than half the price per oz vs others. Note that this is NOT organic, but it is a great tea and a far better value for your money.

Absolutely the best chai tea I’ve tasted and has the spice I’m looking for, which I often find lacking in most purchased chai teas. It brews a delicious cup and with milk and sweetener (my preference) it beats any tea I’ve ordered. This is definitely my new tea obsession -and just know I have quite a collection of teas.

Definitely my favorite Chai! Packaging is fantastic! Love that they include a separate zip lock bag to keep your Chai in once you've opened the vacuumed sealed package! Brilliant idea! The tea is delicious, with the perfect blend of spices! Makes the perfect Chai latte! Will purchase again and again and again...

I love this tea, I've just ordered my second bag. It's a very strong black tea, so if your sensitive to caffeine be warned. I enjoy the tea seeped in milk or water. Both methods are tasty and enjoyable. The spice mix isn't overpowering and is balanced nicely. If you like a good chai, give this a go.

My family and I have been enjoying Vadham teas for a little more than a year now. We started by trying out their lovely sample packs first because they have such a large and interesting selection. I don't think that we found a single tea that was a "dud", they were all good, though we all had our favorites. For our daily "cuppa" that we enjoy with both cream and sugar we chose the Original Masala Chai Tea. It is a subtly spiced tea with a balanced palate that holds up against the cream which will blunt the spice flavor of a lesser masala tea. Our American palates were a bit overcome by the Double Masala Chai, though I think that I personally could develop a taste for it in rather short order I was outvoted by the rest of my family. I love this tea, it holds it's flavor even when it becomes cold. We tend to pour large cups of tea so it will get cold by the time we come to the end of the cup. One bit of advice to enhance the experience; I either stir or swirl my tea as I get to the bottom of the cup because the spice powder will gather in the bottom making for a grainy last mouthful. Such is the price of tea that has spices added to it! This is how you know that the tea is flavored with actual spices and not some sort of flavoring. Also, be sure to re-close your bag of tea every time because the flavors will fade if the tea is allowed to sit open to the air. If you do not consume some 8-10 big hanking cups a day like my family, then buy smaller quantities for best taste as the fresh spices and fresh tea will lose some flavor if left to sit for more than a couple of months. Of course, if you are used to the tea that is usually sold in the U.S., then you may not notice so much. I know that I did not realize the difference between fresh tea and not so fresh before drinking the Vadham teas! Thanks to the Vadham company, I have become a bit of a "tea snob" because they are so amazingly fresh and the taste does tell. On the whole, I highly recommend all Vadham teas and I especially love the Original Masala Chai.

Good product, great value considering what I pay for a single cup of Chai at a retail outlet. Have been enjoying it soo far and will try other products from this supplier as the opportunity arises. This is one of the Masala Chai (if not the best) I ever had. Albeit I mix my own (I add a bit more cinnamon and cardemon), it is amazing. The flavor is superb, the color is beautiful deep brown and sipping through it perfectly spices up one's day. Most excellent product!
