Beast Of Specs In a Mini Form!
This is my initial review for the Beelink U57 Intel Core i5-5257 8GB RAM 256GB SSD Mini PC and I'll continue updating it as I use it. There seem to be a lot of these mini PCs hitting the market at the moment. Most of them have similar spec's and features. They all are smaller than a a CD Disk, they all almost have both wireless and Ethernet connectivity. They usually offer 2-3 USB ports but this one got 4 USB ports and one USB C it's more than what you will actually need, and others also offer between 4 to 8GB of RAM and between 16-256GB of non-up-gradable ROM and feature a very low-end Intel processors. I have seen and tested, many of them but this one is of the more expensive models, with most clocking, i5 Processor and higher specs in at around $350. There really actually alot that distinguishes this product from some of the other cheaper models, the fact that it has a more durable metal case, you can tell it feels very premium and has this apple mini feel to it. Most of the other cheap products only have plastic casing. This mini pc also support dual HDMI ports. I can really see the advantage to that, if you happen to own a dual monitors so it got you covered or you can do dual monitor setup. The product comes with an external mounting bracket but no external antenna port, but I didn't have any problems with the Wifi. Windows 10 pro comes installed, and you will only need to go through the regular windows 10 setup process which requires you to either have a Microsoft account or to set up a fresh new one. There is an option to continue the installation without internet connectivity, but it's buried somewhere in the setup. Once the basic setup is completed you will need to install the usual Microsoft product updates. The installation does not come with any extra, unwanted bloatware as you will find on many new PCs, so you won't have to spend hours uninstalling a bunch of useless or even malicious software. It's a pretty clean build. But a word of advice, don't connect the internet or sign in to your Wifi during the installation as it will corrupt your setup for some reason. Overall, Great build quality and fast CPU Intel Core i5-5257u and 8GB RAM with 256GB SSD, those are insanely fast specs. So If you are looking for a powerful mini PC that doesn't need to do much in the way of graphics this will definitely do the job. However, I highly recommend it over similar models because of the very high specs, it's blazing fast. Work From Home Gem
I have been using a 9-year-old laptop for working from home for the past six months or so. I was running Linux on it and it was running just fine. Recently, my employer switched to using a Windows-only remote desktop service. Although I had upgraded to Windows 10 on the old laptop, it just didn't have enough speed or memory to be effective. Beelink to the rescue! Right out of the box, the Windows 10 booted quickly and ran without a hitch. Video is fast with no dropouts or buffering. I'm using a wireless keyboard/mouse with a USB transmitter/receiver. I am using HDMI to a monitor (and sometimes, even to my big TV if want to sit in the recliner to work from home). Everything works perfectly. I have even used the monitor mount to get the PC off my desk and hide it behind the monitor. (Given the small footprint of the PC, it's not a big deal, but it does free up a bit of desk space.) I since have bought a $50 512 GB SATA SSD and installed it. The funky cable/connector for the SATA connection is something I had not encountered before, but the instructions included with the Beelink were clear and I connected the drive with no issues.) I installed a Linux distro on the SATA SSD and it's running great. Boot and login is almost instantaneous. I have set up the PC to boot to the Linux drive, which brings up GRUB, allowing me to choose whether to boot to Windows or Linux. I have seen some reviews noting how loud the fan is. Honestly, I hear it every so often, but it is not very loud. And when the PC is mounted behind the monitor, I can barely hear it. I had bought a $100 fanless PC prior to getting the Beelink, but, unfortunately, it was a dog. It has only 2 GB of system memory, which is not upgradeable, and I think that's why it is painfully slow. It would lock up, pause, get lost, etc. in the remote desktop. I have had no problems like this with the Beelink. I am not a gamer, so I won't comment on this PC's suitability for gaming. I do, however, recommend this PC for things like working from home and browsing the Internet.

Game changer! Turned our 65" 4k TV into my favorite place to work!
We recently moved into a new house where the office has to be in the basement, but I really have a hard time staying motivated working from home down there all day as it's dark and cold and the lighting is poor. I have a great laptop, but sometimes I don't like working on that either as it isn't super ergonomic and I don't getting a hot lap and you're limited to where you can sit and how you can position yourself to work. I didn't have super high expectations for this little PC and it's my first experience with anything like it in the "mini" or "micro" PC realm, but I'm a very experienced computer nerd (I build all my own PCs from parts) so I'm probably more picky than most. While I don't use it for heavy audio or video editing (think Adobe Creative Cloud suite), this PC has handle everything else I have thrown at it and then some like a true champ! I absolutely LOVE it and I'm so glad I bought it. For the price, what you get is a real bargain. I keep an external SSD plugged into it at all times via USB for storage so I can leave the internal drive free to just run the OS and software applications, which keeps it running lighting fast! I currently have it hooked up to my TCL 4K QLED Roku TV and to my Yamaha receiver, so I can take advantage of my home theater speakers in addition to the enormous TV monitor and I LOVE LOVE LOVE this set up! It is tiny and sits on top of my receiver, hardly taking up any space. If you didn't know to look for it, you probably wouldn't notice it's even there. Additionally, I have the Logitech MX Keys keyboard connected to it (I tried alllllll the wireless keyboards and this is by far the best one for couch computing) as well as a VicTsing wireless mouse which I also love. Combine that with the blade hawks double sided aluminum mouse pad and I can computer with this little PC from anywhere in my living room, from the couch to the kitchen table. No, it's not going to handle heavy gaming or editing as I mentioned, but for every day computing, web browsing, office work etc., it is a SPECTACULAR little machine that will not disappoint! This has truly changed the game for me as I work from home. I use it more than I use my monster custom built editing PC and laptop combined! If you're in the market for a mini PC, or just a PC of any size that you intend to use just for every day computing, you'd be hard pressed to make a better purchase than this little wonder. It can be a little noisy at times (because of it's size, it's fan sounds higher pitched and a little more whiny than a a full size PC or even a laptop, but that's hardly an issue for me. Just something to be aware of. I HIGHLY recommend this PC. And yes, I paid full price for it. I hope this review has been helpful!

Tiny Device - Big Power - Great with Home Assistant
I’m using this little powerhouse for home security and management, and it’s been a total game-changer! Running Proxmox to host Home Assistant (with all the cool third-party integrations) and Frigate for NVR, and it’s been running like a charm. For the price, this little beast is surprisingly solid and does everything I need without breaking a sweat! Highly recommend it if you're looking for a budget-friendly, reliable solution.

Performance on your desk
I got this to replace my recently bought Intel Stick which had WiFi issues. This is amazingly cool and powerful mini PC on your desk to connect to dual monitors. Has plenty of USB ports. I am fan of PC sticks as I can carry anywhere within my pocket and connect to any TV/Monitor which has HDMI. Little disappointed wit the size when I compare with Intel PC Stick, but compromised with great performance and storage. Super silent and very rarely you can hear the fan. I haven't tested with games as I am not fan of any games. I got this only for personal usage and sometimes my kids use for their remote school. Another cool thing is video. Big thumsup to 4k UHD videos. I noticed some glitch on remote desktop video on VPN.

Underrated. Nice performer. Plenty of useful features.
I'm not a computer guru, but this machine meets all of my household needs. Robust enough to do online meetings (the college student at home), surf the web is plenty quick, and storage is plenty at 256 gb (and I can expand with a SSD). 4 usb ports (2 - 2.0/2 - 3.0) help with accessories (mouse/keyboard/remote on a hub & camera on its own port), dual monitor support is nice, and the form factor hides away easily. Nice to have a USB-C on it too. WiFi, Bluetooth, and Network Port are all expected these days. Seems a great value for the price. Time will tell, but it seems they stand behind their products. It is only a few days old, but I am more than happy.

Compact and powerful, missing parts
I started working from home when COVID started. My current machines at that time were several years old. This device is fast, upgradable in storage size, a nice price and compact. I work in IT and I can tell you that computers start breaking down at the 5 year mark. This is a nice price for something that will need replacing in 5 years. I don't need anything more than the RAM that came with it. I have devices I can use for monitors. I don't game and I don't modify videos anymore. MAJOR CON: I finally decided to upgrade my hard drives and my SATA connector is missing the flat wire lock. How do I get this replaced?

Great micro PC for the price, and superb customer service. Read my edit.
It's an old I5 so don't expect to game or edit video on this thing on this thing. But with an SSD, 8GB of ram and slot for 2.5" HDD this will do just about anything else you want. The SSD makes it boot super fast and it's powerful enough for VOIP calls and youtube while multitasking with mutiple programs open at once. Install Kodi and this would make an excellent media server with the 2 HDMI ports expandable storage USB 2 and 3 ports and built in wifi and bluetooth. Also not mentioned in the description it comes with a vesa mount so you can mount this directly to your monitor or to the wall behind it easily hiding it and all the wires. This is a great mini PC and a great value. One more thing I'd like to add, I had a question about a small issue I was having. I emailed the company and had a response within 15 minutes, this amazed me. I'm used to dealing with big companies that get back to you within 24-72 hours or not at all and hope you go away. Great product, great seller, buy with confidence. Edit: After about 2 months the power supply stopped working, had to replace it with a variable power supply I had left from another project. Also the fan is getting very loud, it has bad bearing and I expect that to stop working soon as well.

Perfect and space saver
For my needs worth each penny. For internet, office 365 and watching movies does not let me down. No issues so far. Connected two monitors without problem and good response and the best for me space saver.

Buena en general
Ha funcionado muy bien. Solo que cuando uso el Visual Studio se alenta demasiado, lo cual no debería ocurrir para una PC con este procesador y memoria
