Practical Espresso Machine Cleaning Solution
I bought this cleaning powder as an alternative to the single-use packets that seemed wasteful. I chose this brand because it was recommended by the manufacturer of my espresso machine (I use a Lelit Mara X, which was a big investment). After some research, I concluded this was a pretty standard choice and didn't think it was worth experimenting with other brands. For dosing consistency, I use the instructions from my machine instead of the ones on the bottle. The bottle’s instructions suggest using a full packet, which can feel wasteful for my needs. So, I wrote a little reminder on the lid: ‘one bag = 1/2 tsp.’ This way, I don't have to keep referring back to the machine manual, and it ensures I’m getting the correct amount without overusing the powder. It’s been a great way to make the powder last longer while still keeping my machine clean. Here's a helpful tip: Both the bottle and machine instructions tell you to pull hot water from the machine to clean the portafilter and basket, but I avoid that. Since the machine takes a while to heat up, you end up using most of the water tank and, in turn, go through your water filters faster just during the cleaning cycle. Instead, I heat water on the stove, which also lets me get a head start while the machine is warming up. All in all, I like the bulk quantity, and the more eco-friendly packaging. It works just as well as the single-use packets, if not better, and it feels like a smarter long-term choice, especially if you're trying to reduce waste. Plus, it saves you from burning through expensive water filters on cleaning alone. It's a solid investment if you’re looking for an effective, sustainable option for your espresso machine.

Top Notch Cleaner
Having used JoeGlo, Cafiza, Full Circle I still strongly prefer this over all others. Also maintains potency long term.

OMG!
My coffee maker had backed on coffee and sludge that a simple cleaning wouldn’t fix. I knew about this product because we use it to clean our espresso machines at work. Tried it on my machine and OMG! Anybody that didn’t know would probably think I had just brewed about of coffee. I ran it through a couple of times, then two more cycles with water only to rinse, and my coffee maker is now pristine and my coffee tastes great. Gave a bottle to my sister-in-law, who had the same experience as I.

This is my #1 go to to clean my E61 group machine
Using this for the past 2 decades to clean my E61 brew group machines... get's stuff cleaned very well... never had any issues with it being to harsh... follow the instructions from the manufacturer of your machine and remember to "dump" the first espresso after cleaning it.. That one is to season the machine again after cleaning is... I usually run some hot water through the machine as well prior to pulling the first shot... Also... use some old beans to re-season the machine. No need to use your good beans.. Also.. I try to backflush the machine right before drinking new espresso and use the first shot to dial in the ratio. This espresso get's tossed most of the time anyway.. especially if you are dialing in from dark to light roast or the other way

È il migliore, il più usato, magari altre marche fanno lo stesso servizio, ma preferisco questo. Peraltro è consigliato dal produttore della mia Lelit Bianca.

This product miraculously cleaned my disgusting stainless steel travel mug that had years of welded on hard water deposits paired with tea stain, as well as my giant ceramic tea mug that is a pain to clean. A work colleague recommended it, and demonstrated it at work by cleaning my mug for me (very nice of her). What came off that mug would not come off by scrubbing, using CLR, putting it repeatedly in the dishwasher or with any other product I've tried. We marveled at the creepy layers of brown muck it removed, and my mug was gleaming after a day of soaking! Uses a relatively benign but potent acid combination that really works well on both ceramic and stainless steel and is non-toxic to humans and safe for septic systems.
