Both of my rigs have had old fashion box TV's in them when I purchased them and one of the first things I did was replace the TV's with flatscreens. The lock on this mount keeps them from flying around while you drive down the road. It's a must have. Don't try to use one designed for a home.If you have a camper/RV, the nice thing about replacing your old box TV's with mounted flatscreens is this you pick up additional storage where the TV used to sit.This size was perfect for replacing our bedroom box set and I store towels and blankets where the TV used to be.
