This pot in white is very attractive. It makes great coffee and is easy to program so a hot cup of coffee is waiting for you when you wake up. However, there is a problem with the spout - I need to to pour VERY slowly from a full pot to prevent creating a puddle of hot coffee on the counter. Sometimes it leaks even when very careful. I've never had this problem with previous drip coffee pots. I don't even try to use the pot to fill the water reservoir due to this leaking. I use a 1/2 gallon glass milk jug and an additional cup or so to fill to the reservoir to maximum of 14 cups. I also wish the water lid opened more widely so it's easier to fill with water. I've learned to live with the necessary adjustments to prevent leaking, hence the 4 stars, but it frustrates my partner to no end and he would likely rate it 3 or less.

Make sure that you read all of the instructions when setting up this coffee machine—a lot of steps and helpful information. So far, I love this coffee machine. It looks beautiful on my counter, it brews the coffee at a set time in the morning for me, and coffee tastes great. The only thing I wish was different is that the top part of the pot lifted instead of having to take the whole piece off when filling with water. Although this isn't that big of a deal, I am just used to that feature in past coffee machines. Also, the 1-4 cup feature really only equals 1.5 cups (I have regular sized mugs). Lastly, it makes sporadic loud noises when kept on to keep the pot warm.

I bought this to replace our old Cuisinart coffee maker and hot water combo machine. The old one lasted for years longer than any other brand. We never really used the hot water/tea side, so I decided to get this style. It makes coffee even better than the old one did! We are very happy with the purchase. We have had great luck with all of our Cuisinart purchases. It's well worth it to pay a little extra for a quality product. We much prefer the coffee maker without the side hot water. It's much easier to clean and takes up less space.

Love this machine. Makes a very fine cup of coffee ... It's a slower brew time than most but that's also why the coffee tastes so good. The different temp selections on the carafe plate warmer are really nice ... ...I've yet to taste a burnt cup. It's makes a LOT of coffee and the smaller brew options works great as well. You need to put in the amount of water for the size pot you're brewing ... The one to four cup button doesn't control the amount of water that gets brewed... It's not like some makers on the market where you can fill the reservoir and it'll stop itself at two cups. If you overfill it, there will be a waterfall out the back top ... Learned right away to check the reservoir before filling. Operator error I got the white one and the ease of cleaning this unit is great. You can fit your hand inside the carafe to clean it unlike taller thinner carafes I've had. It's a simple body so clean up is a breeze. Really glad I went with the Cuisinart. I've always used the bold/rich settings on other machines but this one is as good as those on the regular setting... Rich is the default here, depending on your beans. The bold setting is great for afternoon sweet coffee with creamer when you still want rich coffee flavor. There's a mesh filter or you can use a paper filter. The tiny looking scoop IS a TABLESPOON although it doesn't look like it is at all.
