• Woolmat had performed its research on the effects of electromagnetic waves on the human body, in partnership with with Hanyang University Environment and Industrial Medical Laboratory since April 15, 2005, and published the results in the paper, "The Impact of an Electric Heat Mat on the Human Body during Sleep". • In 2005, the National Institute of Environmental Research of Korea published a guide for the usage of various devices generating electromagnetic waves. It indicated that children and pregnant women should keep themselves from using an electric heat mat because of the risks involved. Compared to its competitors, Woolmat produces 1/10 to 1/1000 level (0.2 to 0.3mG), which is the level of natural electromagnetic background.
