It's difficult to answer your question because I don't know how you have the room set up. If you are sitting around 8 ft tables you would need one on each table. These microphones are not set up to carry a long distance. It's a good microphone but is limited somewhat in range. It sounds like maybe you need to look for something else.

It probably would but the response would be very tinny sounding. The frequency is mostly high end. Not for music.
